Hmmm, the only anime I liked dubbed was death note. I personally feel in short, that it sucks away the japanese feel to it. Like with 'Naruto' Just about all the characters voices were off and horrible, not fitting the characters personality. Hn Thats just my opion of corse. And I rather not start an argument

They both have good and bad.

Japanese I guess seems more authentic if you really care about that. I don’t.

I like dubbed though since you can always be watching what’s going on, not needing to look down every couple of seconds.

And some female Japanese voices...well...you know what I mean...

because the english voices kinda blow most of the time (there are exceptions though. kenshin’s english voice kicks the shit out of his japanese one. and, fma is good in english). also, the english versions tend to be more censored.

the english dubbed of macross plus is good,some of them are dubbing from animax or animax using thier series dubbed.

I’ve never watched anime that wasn’t english dubbed and when I ask people why they watch the shows in the Japanese language despite not understanding a word they’re saying the most popular answer seems to be becasue they cut out the blood or the bad words or the sex from the show.

But I don’t understand how cutting that out would seriously detract from the quality of the show. If the anime in question’s storyline is bland boring and slow any amount of blood or cuss words, English or otherwise, really wouldn’t be able to save it...like if the show is boring in English, it’s boring in Japanese or any other language for that matter, it may be different voices, but it’s the same words...

I like dubbed anime, but I don’t likta read. But I see what everyone is saying about how for some reason it just sounds better in the authentic language. I agree with you Skull_Kid if you don’t speek japanese or know japanese its hard to enjoy the anime while ur reading! I LOVE BLEACH!!! so I watched it with subs becuz i just couldn’t wait for the next one on adultswim! IMO, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Eureka 7, and Ghost in the Shell are all good dubs.

Well for me, it depends on the dubbing group.
Anything dubbed by saban/fox kids/4kids, usually sucks ass, cause they take out the whole plot and make it into a joke(literally filling every line with a joke), and it turns me off of the Anime. Like the first One Piece dub, the Sonic dub, the Kirby dub, I mean come on, WTF MAN. lol

Funimation dubs are ok, they try to stay true to the original japanese concept. I didn’t really like what they did with Naruto though.

Oh yeah, I think I know what you mean, the voices are quite high lol
Listening to Goku speak in the Japanese dub >< my my, and at 42, he still needs to go through puberty, hehe

well i rather pick English dud even thou da voice is craft wel i admit da voice is horrible but dat doesnt mean we cant listen to both i know most of people prefer for sub but people like english would rather pick english dub coz we cnt be boder reading the sub, some anime dub ar good but some aint like naruto is only naruto but ders more anime dub. all am saying is dis should be 50/50 if ders a sub for people who rather prefer dat ders should be a dub aswel for people who dont want to read.....

It should be equal.

In english dub seris( I don’t care which movies) They took out all the bad parts. (like someone got kicking in the groin) or a very bloody part. In like a movie suppose to say the 'you son of the bitch' word, They put it like you son of a gun' or somretihng like that. I hate english dubs. Japanese anime are way better than english dubs or like that.

Did you know that pokemon english dub. Ash’s voice is like a old man talking! (In the later seris) He is like so bsing stuff stuff. Japanese version speaks true feelings around the environment and whats happening in the current movie. In english versions, They don;'t care any shitz about whats happening in the movie. Thjey just read the directions and they just speak normal. Japanese care about what is right now happejing to them! English dub... Why is it english? If USA wants to see japanese movies in englishs, Why not lets the Kids4 (whatever) Comes into the country Japan??? Makes movies there. At least give them some credit for making those anime movies. USA makes cassical movies. Japan Makes anime. USA copy japans ideas. This is so wrong!!!!!!!! (for at least i know of) PS Sorry for mistakes in my words. Im a bad super typer!!~!

heres the good example, the anime one piece, after zoro managed to cut mr.1 look at what is the differencess between the two versions

Jappanesse version:

mr.1: next time will you try cutting the diamond?
zoro: no, it will be a waste

english version:

mr.1: you defeated me! im gone
zoro: i cut a steal!

that just a few even, as we can see english version not only blocking the sex jokes also even the other lines the lines that has nothing to do with sexual jokes. and that is just an example, theres a lots of chessy lines that ruins the animes. one piece is popular anime but still many people hate that anime now because they see the english dub anime and not the jappanesse version, they say “one piece is sucks” but not. in addition not only lines and voices they change, they also sencored lots of things from jappanese version, such as gore, you can only see a little ammount of blood, some anime are completely bloodless, they change the nude character into people with underwear
