Indeed, most of your economy is based upon the military-industrial complex, and has been since the 60’s, which essentially requires your country to be in a permanent state of war to prevent economic meltdown. Secondly, another massive chunk of your economy is based on borrowing, which can only be a bad thing.
To be quite honest, even if your country was run by monkeys, you could still be a major global power. Your position in the world and vast natural resources have given you a massive boost over the years. But they can only last so long.

Uh no what happend was that the Soviet union was locked up in Afganistan so when countries started to rebel the soviets couldn’t do shit about it. The U.S helped the afgan rebels against the soviet helicopers witch was kicking there ass so yea the U.S did save the world from communisim.

The whole reason neither side ended up using their nuclear weapons is that they knew that they would both end up being destroyed. Not only that, but the impact would have been felt on a global scale. That isn’t saving anyone...that’s having the potential to destroy everyone.
Also, as Drumintothenight already pointed out, capitalism is not an “American invention”. It originated in Europe during the decline of feudalism, and spread to the then British colonies. Capitalism was based on ideas by European and British economists and philosophers in the 18th and 19th centuries. One of the most influential was the economist/philosopher Adam Smith. Please don’t tell me next that you think democracy is an “American invention”.

America did cause the collapse of the soviet union. I already explained this look at a few posts till you see were I talk about the Soviet invasion of afganistan. And america has basicly become the king of democracy for all its done for it and saved it from being replaced with communisim.
