Yeah, but look at your population and countries area. Sure there may poverty stricken countries, some of which yield greater population or over population but they are demographically smaller than America. You might have more stupid people, but you have more people in general.

Its the education system that americans have set up.. its more about protecting the teachers then teaching the students.. plus having school zones dont help much. Because each school only gets so many stupidents no matter what.. thus the school doesnt have to compete against other schools for kids thus they pretty much dont even try to teach the kids.. Then we have this no child left behind act.. so teachers actually put the test levels down so that students will pass.. students know this and pretty much just give up. They need someone from europe or another 1st world country to come in and fix the mess they made, because they clearly cant seem to fix it themselfs.

i actually agree with you on this. i mean, i see the pro’s to all these, but they are not big enough to outweigh the obvious cons mentioned. the one thing is the no child left behind thing. i mean, as much as i HATE that, its the only way to keep liberals from bitching about people 'not having a chance'.

One time I heard something dumb a few Americans were saying (majority or minority I don’t know) on the TV that I didn’t laugh. It was seriously that bad it was sad.
After that recent school shooting at Virginia Tech or whatever (you’ve had a shitload of them in the past decade), I heard pro-gun groups were asking for the right for every in the school to carry guns to defend themselves in a school shooting... it’s just terrible. You guys really need to work on your gun laws to begin with. Fuck your second amendment, you shouldn’t care, you really need it. Look at your crime rate, it’s horrible. Even worse than Australia, and we were founded by criminals.
I see people like Penn Jillete on TV saying shit like “if you stop civillians from having guns criminals or the government will have too much power and take over the place."
It’s bullshit, Western European countries are proof of that. I don’t understand how some of you are so prudish, but so lax when it comes to gun control. People are fucking dying!

i don’t believe americans are stupid. there will always be a fair share of stupid people in any country. only problem is the tendency for the US media to sensationalize anything that might increase their popularity
