BTW it turns out Halo 2 actually sold more copies than Halo 3 did on it’s first day, but Halo 3 made more money.
Well that’s pretty easy to understand. Halo 2 came out on a console with no software competition to the series. While Halo 3 comes out a console with heavy software competition.
Also Halo 2 cost $50 and Halo 3 costs $60.
This is really easy to determine.
Most likely Halo 3 will drop down harsly in sales next week as big cult hit games like this always have sever drops.
Well soemthign I read is maybe that this may be tied in with the leaving of Bungie. That this game demo for the DS was being made by another publisher other than MS. This is suggesting that possible Bungie is being sold by MS to be bought out by another publisher. Except MS would still have rights to the Halo series. So would need consent for the Halo series to go to the DS.
Well MS already has contracts to publish games on DS and GBA before it. So any kidna series MS has some kinda ownership in can go to DS and/or GBA.
But not Wii. MS doesn’t currently make games for Wii and probalby never will unless MS drops out of the console race. Then very much so Halo is likely on the Wii. But sooner or later someone is going to buy the rights to Halo from MS and Bungie as well.
