Well what ya think. Does this fit under the first amendment for freedom of speech and expression. Or is this treasonous actions towards the American government.

I’ll make this a poll but this is a lot deeper than yes or no.

Yes, but it’s also a symbol of our country.

Either way it’s still desecration of the flag.

Well, the flag symbolizes our country, our freedom, and the people who fight to protect those things. Doing anything to a flag is basically doing it to us.

But as for freedom of speech don’t you have the right to desecrate the flag. It’s freedom of speech. Just as much as you have the right to denounce the government. This was actually a federal case where someone in Texas burned the American flag. Got to federal level and they said it was constitutional and charges were dropped.

I would say it’s just as constitutional as saying that Bush is an idiot. Although speech isn’t violent neither is buring a flag. It’s simply freedom of expression.

Yeah, sure. But if they do, they should be booted from the nation. Not that they would care. Apparently they hate it.

Why? If someone spoke out against the president saying he should be overthrown and a new one should be elected should they be denied their freedom of speech and expression. As long as they aren’t physically trying to overthrow government they should be allowed vocally and symbolically able to do these kinda things.

The rule to go off of is that you are allowed to express your rights as long as it doesn’t take away from others rights.

he means that if someone goes burning flags about how much they hate America, we should do everyone a favor and kick them out. Because, apparently, they hate America, so they should be happy to leave.

But you can’t kick them out. That’s the thing. You are jsut going to have to deal with it that some people don’t agree with you. Just like 89% of American doesn’t agree with the US Congress and 70% of America doesn’t agree with the President.

They don’t have to agree with the president or congress, we’re talking about how people who hate America, should be kicked out! If they say they hate America, than why should we keep them here?

Cause we can’t get rid of them. Just as much as I can’t get rid of Bush and the Congress.

Why can’t we deport them if they want to leave? Ah, well it doesn’t matter.

Yea that’s kinda above the question. Although the question is debateable the federal judicial system has stated that burning an American flag is constituional and protected by the first amendment.

Yea pretty silly. Kinda like that whole thing about RE5 being racist. In some areas people simply need to get a grip. I mean racism would detereorate faster if people would let it die. I hate all these activist for both Blacks and Whites using racism as a way for vengeance, political attention, or simply public attention. Simply wrong.

I mean sure you need to take on the outright racist things but come on if 2 men get into a fight and happen to be opposite races doesn’t mean racism should be the first thing to pop in your head. That is only driving it more into people’s heads that these 2 races aren’t of one of the same.
