I think the hate crime thing goes for gays as well.
I don’t believe in gay hate crimes legislation, there’s no religious hate crimes legislation. Its giving one side an advantage. Discrimination I say!

And in times of protest it has been Americans who love the U.S.A. that have burned the flag, persisly because they wanted so much better for their country.
Because a flag has so much meaning it sends a strong message that people are not happy with how things are going.

Its not treasonous to burn a flag, unless you were obviously showing hate toward America. I mean, if you are doing it to protest the leaders that are doing what you think is a terrible job, or something along those lines, I think it makes sense and should be allowed under protesting circumstances. Otherwise, you probably don’t like where you are and should get the fudge out, or you just hate the US and live somewhere else.
