Oh, the flood probably happened. That I wont deny. I could honestly care less about religion. Just puts me sour mood.

When you went to mass, did the priest (or whoever was preaching) speak in latin?

No. There were some hymns in latin, but I dont think a mass in catholiscism has been done in latin for a long time.....

And for clarifacation, I dont like being catholic, Im forced to, Im being confirmed catholic.

But with all the confirmation cash I get, I can join the church of satan.

Laveyan, not mallgoth.

I don’t understand how they got the sacraments out of the Bible.

Its a wise decision to be a LaVeyan Satanist (as opposed to actually worshipping Satan). Worshipping Satan is just a bad idea.

Seriously. Who would you rather worship? A God who loves you, and wants the best for you? Or Satan, who wants you to burn in Hell? I don’t udnerstand the logic behind worshipping Satan.

I’ve gone (or am going through) puberty, and I’m not crazy. Well, then again, I’m a sensible Christian. I’ve got no reason to be nuts.

If you’d change your name to something without all the swearing, you’d be my favorite atheist.
Which is saying a lot, because frankly, I had you put in the same category as Skittles666.

Thanks for not being a moron.

You’re welcome.

And I hate the “holier than thou” types. Not only is it annoying, its not Biblical. And that makes them hypocritical.

I fail to see the difference between the two. Maybe the first two minutes of this video will explain why

All mythological gods and antigods are pretty much the same. Without one another the other couldn’t survive in their respective myths. Without Satan, God would serve really no purpose in the Judeo-Christian religion. Really the Christain mythology needs Satan for the entire religious value to get across.

I’m looking at it from a pure mythological view not a religious view. If we are going to look at it from a fair perspective we must look at it as mythology as without all the other things that aren’t proven that is all religion is, mythology. And that’s where I derived that.

But didn’t god create Satan and by extension suffering? And didn’t he know he would be betrayed?

And what about his “plan”? What is part of his “perfect” plan to create a world full of suffering and evil?

so we should view spontaneous generation as mythology too because it has not been proven?
no. to be fair we must look at religion(or anything) from many different perspectives before calling it mythology.

i just realized something. without Satan there wouldnt even be religion because everyone would be worshiping the same god in the same way.

hmmmm?
u mean to say God brought suffering to this world by creating Satan? no. God didnt make Satan evil in the beginning.
no, i dont believe God knew what Satan would turn into.

its a good question. makes me wonder who has more influence over your choices, the world around you or you yourself.
i have compared Satan to a criminal. no one is born a criminal. society makes criminals. or do criminals just choose to ignore their conscience? i dont know.

his plan? to create a world full of suffering and evil? i dont know what ur talking about.

Well, the Bible says god made a plan and it was “good”. It also says he is all knowing and all powerful and all loving, and created everything. If he is all knowing then he should have known that his creation would betray him. If he is all powerful then he should have been able to stop Satan. If he was all loving he wouldn’t blame us for what he did. Why would he purposely create sometihng that he knew would bring suffering and evil to his “perfect” world? That is a question that no theist has been able to answer for me.
