Because Transformers: The Movie isn’t hitting Blu-Ray. Only HD-DVD...

I was gonna hook everything up to my parent’s huge HDTV and watch the movie in High-def... guess not anymore. :/

Paramount said no, Micheal Bay even got angry at the decision and said he wouldn’t direct Transformers 2 because of it. A threat which he quickly retracted.
