according to this article no.

according to that article about two thirds of scientists believe in God. the survey was done in 2005.

funny thing is, its under “strange news” section. i guess most people didnt expect that.

also in the article “76 percent of doctors said they believed in God and 59 percent believe in some sort of afterlife”.

Sure. But for the other scientists to not think you’re a moron, you have to be an atheist. At least nowadays.

Depends is this a poll in America or the world. As if you’ve noticed more people in America tend to believe in a god than in really any other place, except Middle East of course. IN Europe most people don’t follow an organized religion or believe in a god anymore. Thing of the past to most of them. Saw that in a poll in my history book.

about that poll in ur history book. was it for europeans in general, or just scientists?

This poll is very vague. It doesn’t say how many scientists or if they’re even credible scientists. I know for a fact that the most credible scientists (Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, etc.) are either atheists or don’t believe in a personal god. I wouldn’t be surprised if this poll was for America only.

For the sake of the argument, let’s say that it is 100% true that most scientists in the world believe in god. My question is, so what? Why would you care if scientists believe in god? It doesn’t add more credibility to the claim that a god exists, not even by a small amount.

Nothing wrong with believing in god? For this time, I’m going to just skip all the bad things religion has done to humanity and ask you a question. Why are you defending your belief in god in a nation in which 90% of everyone is a theist?

I would say that this whole thing is false and that all scintests are athists! only a real scintest could possible be an athist! Every one else is simply a more wastful lump of flesh (if you could even call us that much). My advise for you, just have your self cut up and throughn off an air plane, you’ll do the earth more good rotting then any theist could ever do waisting space! You have less right to exist then cancer did you know that? Of corse not! your too busy shitting on mother earth! to think with that horrible small and pethet human brain of yours!

I know my place (to be furtliser for somthing better) do you know yours?

I think it’s odd how when there’s a crazy religious person on here you hold them up as an example of the evils of faith but when some one comes along whose atheist and crazy you condemn them and say that they’re aren’t really atheists. That’s the type of behavior that SWC was so famous for!

Yeah but look at the way he writes. Most of us have seen fundamentalists talk like that but no atheist I have ever met would or has ever written like that. I know most if not all atheists are rational and this guy isn’t rational. This person hasn’t even made any legit points, they’ve just been flaming. What better way to make a group look bad on an Internet forum by pretending to be one and flame people? And the fact that he is also a guest adds even more suspicion.

I mean I know he could very well be an atheist, but I want someone to do an IP check to make sure no one is bullshitting us.

"I know most if not all atheists are rational and this guy isn’t rational” what makes you think that? I’ve meet people just like that who held them selves up on the high mantle of (I’m better then you because you believe in a god and I don’t) atheism.

“I want someone to do an IP check to make sure no one is bullshitting us” I’m pretty sure some ones already done that.
