This poll is very vague. It doesn’t say how many scientists or if they’re even credible scientists. I know for a fact that the most credible scientists (Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, etc.) are either atheists or don’t believe in a personal god. I wouldn’t be surprised if this poll was for America only.
well, i didnt make the article, if u find a more credible source saying the opposite, feel free to provide it.(einstein’s on our side, hehehe)
Einstein is not on your side. He did not believe in a personal god.
that does not make him an atheist.

Believing in god is only for those who lack the will power or then knowledge that the bible is completly bs, and every other religon is too. Eg if you took a scientist 200 years ago who did not know how we came here or did not know how lighting work he would have no choice but to make up that someone cause such a act. All because he did not know about static eletricity or evolution.
--- Theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch, as it can in everyday speech. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena.
Well I wouldn’t say all religions are BS. Religions that aren’t theistic, such as Buddhism, are actually quite fascinating to me. Their philosophies are very interesting.

matt, hate to break it to you, but science is a religion.
definition of religion:
“a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs."
but, hey.
scientology....no...haha. scientology is just retarded. we can all agree on that one, right?
and, i agree with you on that, matt. buddhism is really interesting. i like it a lot.
gplex, try not to be that ignorant sounding. its really kinda sad. the same can be said about science, in many ways. science is the best possible explanation that we can get the most proof for. nothing less, nothing more. thats why its CONSTANTLY changing. hell, for all you know, one day science will prove God is real.
Kev, you can’t just take part of one definition of a religion and ignore the rest because it doesn’t fit the way you want it. When you loo0k at other definitions of a religion, they usually mention fundamentalism, rituals, dogmas, and above all; God. Sure, with what you just bolded from the definition you just posted you can say that science and religion may share a few characteristics, but not enough so for science to be considered an actual religion.

dude, look at the three letters after what i bolded. they are esp, meaning especially, meaning not always, meaning the part that i bolded stands alone. its not as much in the traditional sense, but i thought we all knew that. the fact is, when you get down to it, science is an explanation about why we are here, which is exactly what religion is at its core. lets take all the definitions given, shall we?
