Because 1+1 = 2 (or 10) no matter what country you are on. Just because people don’t understand how to get 2 out of 1 and 1, doesn’t mean it is false, it just means the person is a dumbass.

You don’t just know the mechanics of a language. Most people have a basic understanding of their native tongue just because it was burned into them as they age, but they probably don’t know its mechanics unless they study it. Math, on the other hand, is primarily useless without knowing mechanics; the most you could probably do is up to multiplication if you learned the same way we learn how to speak.
Thing about math is that it doesn’t change for different countries. It’s set in stone for all a nationalities.

For some people math comes naturally and for others it’s very difficult. No one really knows why. Maybe it’s the way neurons are connected in each person’s brain. If and when you see the beauty of math, you understand how precise and concise it is.
