And by the way, theres nothing punk about them. Punk is a lot more technical than the generic riffs of Slipknot.

Technicality is “complexity” in deffinition. Punk does not have that. Punk mainly just has chord progressions, but some do have some pretty difficult 4 or 5 string chords, but no. Punk is in no way a technical music.
