jpb Guest | Unless it’s an obsolete Power-PC based Mac, you should be able to (they’re all Intel-based now). Google for boot camp to dual boot.

I think with boot camp you can also run Windows alone (without dual booting with Mac OS), but I don’t think many people do that.
If you happen to have a Power-PC-based Mac your only option may be VMWare Fusion or Microsoft Virtual PC.

If you were planning on using Windows (unless you wish to go between OSX and XP frequently) all the time, then it would’ve been better to just buy a non-Mac. Cheaper and more flexibility as far as hardware goes, unless you don’t want to choose your specific parts and just go factory built (which is always a waste).
