With respect, I have no reasion to give them respect, they surtently don’t respect me.
--- Dogbert said the deepest thing ever.
“It is all a part of the big illusion we perpetuate upon ourselves and which is in turn perpetuated upon us. When we believe we engage the illusion, when we stop believing we shatter the illusion and ourselves in the process because we are part of it."
atheism is the exact opposite of what relgion is meant to do
religion is belief in higher atheism is just disbelief in anything passed human comprehension
My views, as twisted as they are, don’t technically qualify as “religious” because it’s not held by a group of people, it’s what makes sense to me based on my perception.
I accept the label of “deist” as a generalized definition of what I believe, but my specific beliefs may differ from other “deists”.
How exactly is atheism a religion again? Atheism doesn’t have a dogma, doesn’t have a set of beliefs and the definition of atheism is the disbelief in any deity or deities.

“A religion is a set of common beliefs and practices generally held by a group of people."
Common belief: No deity or deities. Natural cause for everything.
Practices: Practicing sciences and the like. Lack of worship.
Sounds like religion to me.
But if you want to get technical, it isn’t TECHNICALLY a “religion”. It’s more on the same level of Theism.
Judaism is a religion. Theism is a category.
Atheism could probably be divided into typical “atheists”, and agnostics. Because agnostics do not worship a god, they do not have a god.
Theist means you worship a god.
adding the A in front means you DON’T worship a God.
So yeah, agnostics are atheists.
Another side note, calling yourself an agnostic literally means you’re lacking in knowledge. =P
But notice the plural use of “belief” in the definition. Atheism has only one belief, which is that no deity or deities exist, which is more like a disbelief than a belief.
Not all atheists believe everything has a natural cause, some of them can still believe in the supernatural as long as a deity or deities aren’t involved.
Science is not a practice that would qualify it to be a characteristic of religion. Even if science was considered a practice, not all atheists practice it. Lack of worship however, is not a practice at all.
And IMO saying your agnostic doesn’t exactly mean your lacking knowledge, it means your humble enough to say about god’s existence what most of us realize which is “we don’t know”.

Theist - one who believes in a higher being/beings
Atheist - one who does not believe in a higher being/beings
Agnostic - one who neither refutes nor agrees with the existence of a higher being/beings
Saying that atheism is a religion is like saying that everyone who is not in a cult really is in a cult - the non-cult cult. This of course is ridiculous.
“What breed of cat is air?"
“Oh yeah, air is a non-breed breed of cat."
“Hey, idiot, what religion does an atheist belong to?"
“Duh! The atheist belongs to the non-religion religion."
The hair example is great. Lets say Hinduism is blond hair, Sikhism is black hair, Buddhism is brown hair, Judaism is red hair, and Christianity is grey hair. Do you follow me, children? Atheism would, respectively, be the absence of hair. Get it?
“So what color hair does an atheist have?"
Come on don’t embarrass yourself.
Honestly ask yourself this:
WHAT COLOR HAIR DOES A BALD PERSON HAVE?
Good.
Now, in your answer, replace the words “bald man” with “atheist," and replace “hair” with “religion." There you go, dummies. Good Job!
*Pats you on the head gently*
Okay sorry, I didn’t mean to mentally stimulate you too much. I promise we wont talk big kid Atheist talk anymore. It’s so strange because technically we all have pretty much the same sized brains but you could never guess that...
Well, goodbye all of you non-cult cult followers, non-cat cats, white haired bald people, non-leprichon leprichons, and anyone else who does not fit into the before mentioned categories.
