would you rather have a long loading time when you boot up a game, and that leads to you never needing to load anything while playing again untill you boot up your console, Example as Oblivion, everything, every building, bit of grass, and texture loads at the beggining, it’s long but leads to perfect none choppy gameplay.

Or do you prefer the constant short loads we have while playing?

Oblivion loads in game too, when you’re walking through the field it lags for a few seconds every so often. It’s in game loading. =/

Personally, I’d rather have the short loads in game rather that the huge loading at the beginning.

I’d rather have short loads, because waiting a long time is really annoying, like in Mercenaries.

The first game I ever played with 0 load times as Jak and Daxter. You never see “loading” on the screen, and it never paused to load the next environment either. Jak II and 3 did the same, but there would be an insanely small load time before and after movie clips. Not even a second long.

If all games could load like that it’d be perfect.

I personally like big loading at the beginning but none whatso ever to in the middle of a game.

Its disrupting and ruins the game.

yes just cause had it perfect. it didnt have a long load time, just when you loaded up your file, and VERY briefly when you load a mission.

Yep.

But the best part was you could travel the entire Island and you would never see a loading screen.

It made me happy... to play for hours and never have to wait for the game to load... =D

Actually, I rather enjoy periodic loading. It gives me a chance to sip my beer, take a breather and scratch my ballZ if need be.
