Lol yeah it would suck if your making a movie with 100s of files but its alright for simple shit.

The original movie maker is a bit limited, very true, but...compared to many, it at least is quiet fast, and also doesn’t crash as often as the most expensive ones around.

I recommend trying Microsoft Moviemaker v2 though. It does a whole load of stuff that other things cannot - it even has advanced/fast controls for changing brightness/gamma/contrast/colour adjust/hue/saturation - in fact you name it, its able to adjust it, with full transitions, editing and text manipulations.

Its output/export options (as usual) are as confusing as hell, cos it assumes everybody is sending clips back to the web or something, but apart from that, try it - i don’t know if its free or not though, it appeared on a CD i found in a friends PC.

Most free versions, will usually let you spend 3 hours editing, and then crash and lose your file, i use loads of vid editing, it happens on even the best stuff (and that ADOBE PREMIER was the biggest waste of space ever written), damn, id rather use VISTA for a month than run that for 10 minutes ever again.....

It constantly crashes on *everything*, and its not just slow, its M — E — G — A — — S — L — O — W

Another excellent (but weird one) is called ZWEISTEIN, from www thugsatbay com.
It has an extra weird way of dealing with things, but it does just about anything you could need with all kinds of video, and....

Also, some versions of VIDEOWAVE are good, and that usually arrives free with some CD writers, so i assume there is free versions on the makers website.

it only works on Mac. Somehow, I am more comfortable using Windows Movie Maker than iMovie!!!!

As far as simple movie makers are concerned, iMovie dominates Windows Movie Maker. But, for the fact you get Movie Maker as part of the OS, I really wouldn’t complain too much, and it gets improved over time.

when i had photoshop. i could edit clips and animations, liek a kING....im the god of photoshop, lol

when i tried flash......i COULLDN’t understand it 1 BIT.....it was SO confusing......and i really wanted to gt to the point where i cold mimic effects like smallville......


but, i have WMM, and i havent tried it, for fear of a flash-type encore, where i dont understand it...

recommendations????????
