Agent of Chaos Rep: 54  Joined: 10 Aug 2005 Posts: 40,056 ONLINE | Hey might as well tell all of yall all the rumors I’ve been reading about lately. Almost all come from Surfer Girl’s website, who is supposedly an industry insider. She’s been right before, but not as much as Bruce, from Rumorreporter has. But hey there intesting and detailed. Enjoy and remember all are rumors until proven factual:
-Max Payne 3 is coming next year and for the 360 and PS3
-Grand Theft Auto IV will release in Spring 2008
- L.A. Noire tidbits:
* The game will be a free-roaming title with a historically-accurate recreation of Los Angeles in 1947.
* Team Bondi has even hired a costume designer to research the clothing of the era so the game’s attire can be accurate.
* Aside from main story, side missions will be based on actual cases pulled straight of the newspapers of 1947.
* A US Marine plays a big role in the story.
* Not so exclusive...but LA Noire definitely ain’t coming to Xbox 360, the size of the game is an obstacle to this.
- Jet Moto series is as alive as a rock
- Next Twisted Metal game coming to the PS3 eventually
- If Animal Crossing Wii was an MMO, it probably wouldn’t make it out of Japan, as supposedly NoE and NoA have a problem with extensive online features
- New F-Zero is coming to the Wii and maybe being developed by Monster Games, guys who developed Excite Truck
- A New Skies of Arcadia is coming to the Wii
- Wave Race, Excitebike, 1080 Snowboarding, and Lugi’s Mansion new additions are not going to the Wii  .
- Punch Out Wii was in prototype stage last year. And if it progressed would be a remake of the NES version for Wii.
- Kingdom Hearts III is going to the Wii.
- MS is not dropping Rare
- A Wario World Sequel is not happening
- Despite the sell of Bioware to EA, Bioware is still working on the next KOTOR game.
- Itadaki Street DS is most likely going stateside. Same with Its a Wonderful Life.
- Capcom character in SSBB is highly likely and would most likely be Megaman. SE charcter in SSBB though is highly unlikely
- Megaman Wii exclusive next year
- Ghostbuster game in 2009 for PS360 and possibly Wii
- A new PSP in 3-4 years
- Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming and for PS360Wii
- Activision has a game that supports the Wii zapper releasing in the near future
- Factor 5 wants to develop for Wii, but no concrete plans yet
- Resistance Fall of Man 2 details:
Insomniac Games is indeed developing Resistance: Fall of Man 2 (no, not Rise of Man, as some people have created) tentatively scheduled for release next November. Aside from the first and last level, the game takes place entirely in the United States, where someone who may or may not be Sgt. Nathan Hale (who plays a role in the story) has to deal with the Chimeran invasion of the US in nine locales such as San Francisco and Chicago. And there is a cliffhanger ending that sets up for a third title. Vehicles will be included in multiplayer this time around, one will be able to take to the sky with three new vehicles or boogie it down on the ground with the three vehicles from the first game’s Campaign.
- Ready at Dawn is working on a PS3 title
- GUN 2 is on hold and may be canceled
- Darkwatch 2 is in development for PS360
- The Getaway PS3 is scheduled for release in Q4 2008
- Forza Motorsport 3 is in development for release in Summer 2009
- EA Tiburon is definetly working on a Wii exclusive game
- The Gears of War trilogy will indeed be finished on 360 meaning Gears of War 2 can’t be that far off
- The Next Hitman game is going to the Wii(other platforms not mentioned, but most likely going there as well)
- Farcry franchise will make its debut on the playstation platforms wiht the PS3
- Prince of Persia 4 is not going to Wii, but it will receive an “alternate title” in the PoP franchise.
- NBA Ballers 3 on PS3 and 360 in April 2008
- Syphon Filter PS3 in 2009
- Neither of n-Space’s two Wii titles stars a ghost. However, they are even more ambitious than that ghost game and far better. One features a temple level that looks like it was swiped out of Red Steel and the other more ambitious title features an alien reptilian creature who bares quite a resemblance to Ganondorf. I’d be surprised if either sees release before March 2009.
- Ubisoft will be publishing Soma, the Human Head/Mark Ecko collaboration coming to PS3 and 360 sometime before two years from now
- Retro Studios next project is not an FPS and an entirely new IP
- Zoonami is currently working on Wiiware titles
- Q entertainment is also working on a few Wiiware titles for next year
- ChuChu Rocket comeback for DS and Wii
- Red Steel 2 not coming before May. Most likely coming Q4 2008. Red Steel 2 was first scheduled for Q4 2007, but after the game was completely finished it was looked at by Ubisoft higherups and deemed terrible. Development was then switched to a new studio who basically had to start from scratch. Development for Red Steel 2 has been called a nightmare due to Ubisoft’s extreme pickiness for the game to be amazing.(no complaints here). Game will feature online multiplayer and maybe online co-op.
- Another Super Monkey Ball game is in the works
- Fight Night 2008 is indeed coming to the Wii
- Fuse Games + that pink round guy that floats = their next DS title.
- Super Punch Out is coming to the VC next year
- Wii Motor Sports Airplane is coming to Wiiware
- Nintendo fought with Ubisoft to get Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 a new release date as they didn’t want it releasing near Galaxy as they felt it would take away sales from it.(as highly unlikely as it sounds anyways)
- EA has no plans to make a console for the gaming market
- Lost: The Game is actually good
- Multiple Zelda titles in the works. The big, epic one is coming 2 years from now.
- Nintendo is working on 30+ Wiiware titles. Some are off huge franchises such as Zelda, DK, and Metroid.
- Possibly a Shenmue title for the Wii but hasn’t heard anything since last year. Sega although doesn’t really want to make another Shenmue type. So basically Shenmue on anything is most likely not happening.
- the new Wii channels are coming in winter 2007/spring 2008
- more Japanese made “hardcore” games exclusive to the Wii coming(along the lines and size of Monster Hunter 3)
- Geist is dead. N-Space has no plans to bring it back despite fans wanting it
- FF7 Remake definetly not happening
- no Boondocks game
- a new Pikmin game in the works
- Mario/Sonic platformer to remain in our dreams
- Wii version of RE5 doubtful
- Infamous not coming out in early 2008
- PS3 Farcry different from Farcry 2. Basically it isn’t Farcry 2
- HDD for Wii coming in the future
- Rare could possibly put titles on the VC
- Dreamcast games will not be on the VC
- Bioshock is not going to the PS3. Instead of porting it over they are working on a sequel of the game
- Ninja Gaiden on the Wii is possible
- Wii 2 or N6 games are not in development(Duh)
- Final Fantasy direct story most likely to stay Playstation only and possibly move to the 360
- Media Vision’s Wii game is an action RPG
- FFXIII most likely to port to the 360
- KHIII to be announced next year
- Wii Mana title in development
- Orange Box/Portal is not going to the Wii
- Timespliter IV is going to Wii, PS3, and 360
- Star Ocean 4 to be on PS3
- New Test Drive game coming next year/Early 2009 for PC, 360, PS3
- Afrika is a “nonviolent game” with “positive social themes." Something certain to appease those who have always wanted to spell doom to fictional poachers without violence.
- 3 Wario games in development. One of those Wario games is coming to the Wii.
- Star Wars: Battlefront 3 coming next year
- NST is working on 3 games right now. Project HAMMER(on hold possibly canceled), a Wii sports title, and a DS game in an existing franchise.
- The next big Zelda game is to be epic.
- there is a Wii title in the works that uses 3d glasses
- another warioware game for the DS
- the next big Zelda game will use a similar graphical style used in Twilight Princess
- Duke Nukem Forever coming out next year(bout damn time eh)
- Matsuno is indeed working on an RPG exclusively for the Wii
- more Pokemon coming
- Sega wishes to revive the Sonic franchise on Wii and bring it back to its glory
- Either a new Kid Icarus or Golden Sun 3 is happening(wasn’t specified)
- Mii channel will get more options
- Nintendo has no plans to make their online setup compartive to that of Xlive
- supposedly a Wii mic has already happened.(possbily is talking about the karaoke mics for certain games or the thought process and development thereof a Wii headset/mic is already being created or done created)
- Disney is the one pushing and making KHIII a Wii exclusive but a port is possible of the game to PS3.
- Jade Empire 2 is coming
- Big Huge Games Wii game is “God the Game”
- Everquest is coming to the PS3
- Sony to answer to XNA and Wiiware next year
If that isn’t enough rumors for you then you just can’t be satisfied.

Yea supposedly its because Disny is pushing it to the Wii for the demographic. I believe I stated a long time ago that in the end KHIII would go to the Wii because of Disney.

Well they said port over which doesn’t mean take the Wii game and slap a PS3 logo on it. Just mean they’d take the game and make it into a PS3 game and capitalize on its features.

1. No we had no idea what Retro Studios was working on. For all we know Nintendo could be asking them to make a game on an existing franchise again.
2. That was taken out of context. It just means that Wii 2 or N6 hardware is not in completion stages to develop for it

Also when I say more Pokemon coming I mean like more Pokemon games in the direct line not like individual new pokemon being created.

1 when yahoo games intervied retro cuz of prim3
they noticed they were working on a new game they even said a none-metroid game
2 it doesn’t mean they aren’t building a design, Nintendo knows how important design is
