Ok then well tell me the exact words from the Bible that say the Jesus and God’s image thing because I don’t really no what your on about sorry.
I agree with you about modern religions being used to control the masses and individuals take the Bible and use it to persecute others, but I disagree that science can explain everything and therefore disproves God.
Do you just not believe in God or not believe in anything?
What do you believe happens to you when you die?
Ok well I might be on I might not, if not then I’m sure we’ll argue again in the future.

Sorry to butt in, but i cant resist a good religous debate when i see one.
Clare: Yes science cant disprove god, thats true, but what is also true is that the Bible describes god as being a supernatural being that can bend the rules of time, nature, science, and so forth to do whatever he wants whenever he wants to, so there fore he is extremely illogical to be existant.
What i think happens to me when i die is this, if i dont get cremated then i get buried in the ground, and my body gets eaten by worms, thats it, those who chose to believe in an afterlife choose to do so because they have an extremely irrational fear of death.
alrighty, now i got some questions of my own for you if you dont mind, since you do seem to be the one arguing for the side of theology in this debate, for ease i’ll just put them in list form.
1. If god truely loves all of us then why did the religion portraying him as such only appear after many others? Does that mean that god didn’t give a crap about any of the people born before christianity became popular and their goin straight to hell? Doesn’t realy seem fair to me that you go straight to hell just because of the year that your born in.
2. Many religions are older then christianity, why are they all wrong and christianity is right? I mean look at things like the roman dieties, they all provide about as rashional (i know i spelled this wrong, but i couldn’t think of the proper spelling at the moment and i appologise for it)an explanation for natural phenomena as christianity does, yet most people rule them out and call them “pagen”. More to come later, but i have about 3 minutes left till i have to leave, so until later.

My veiws are very much like yours HESH, I find all those who trust in an after-life are usually those scared of death. Scared of the fact that there is nothing after they die. They think “if I keep telling myself that there is beaty after death, it will come true”.
Or maybe its jsut there scared that if (IF) there is a heaven, they wont get in if they dont belive in it.
The truth is if you havent raped anyone, or murdered anyone, you should be allowed in heaven either way.
Pussy’s I say. Pussy ass fuckers afraid of death, fuck you. I stare death in the eyes and spit in its mouth.
We only live once you know.

Quite, if there is a heaven you should be able to get into by, like you said, being a good person and not being any particular religion. But death and afterlife judgement are used to scare people into joining a religion.
Goes along the same lines as telling a child not to do something or else they’ll get spanked.

Dear Brian,
Get a fucking life and stop masturbating to child porn becuase it makes you feel good. And dont worry, im no punk, I am very much aware of that. But I am not a poser, if you met me in real life you would go, “woaw, what the hell is wrong with that kid”. I am weird and a bit socially retarded, so either, figure out who I really am or stop saying untrue things. It doesnt hurt me, and I am emotionally calm 24/7.
Oh, and if you really want to know about me from a person his nexopia is:
macabrepie
His name is Etienne. Ask him some questions. Make an account for yourself.

Clare- I do believe you go somewhere. The dirt. Look at it this way, god hasn’t been proven even a little bit and science has. So what are you going to believe? This fictional god? Or this proven science? I gotta go, I’ll be on around 1:30 or so

Ok well first let me just say that I’m not particulary happy about being the only one arguing on my side but whatever, here goes...
Who ever said that God has to be logical?
Just because he’s not a REAL living person doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist it’s just whether you believe strongly enough. Why must everything be proven?
How can science explain all the miracles that have happened on earth?
People who believe in the afterlife don’t have an irrational fear of death that’s just stupid. It is ignorant to think that what we see around is is all there is, there’s got to be more to this life. Ok so our body will be buried 6 ft under but our soul, the thing that makes us who we are goes to the next life.
Has anyone died that’s close to you because if so then havn’t you ever felt like there with you sometimes? I just think that this can’t be it for us.
Anwsers:
1: I don’t think that God would only care about humanity after he got popular, but no-one knows, I don’t know and neither do you. Ok so there were many other religions before Christianity but then why aren’t they poplular now? What makes Christianity so special do you think?
2: We used to think the world was flat until a few hundred years ago, same with people used to believe in Roman dieties.
Christianity isn’t the leading religion in the world anyway, that’s Islam but no-one seems to be questioning there faith whereas everyone seems to have a problem with Christianity.
Now my question, who of you has actually read the Bible? If not then I suggest doing so before you argue about it with me.
Ok then, your turn.

Oh gee, okay Clare. Let me put my believing goggles on. Your saying the harder I believe, the more real he will be? What if I believed that I’m a millionaire? Am I a millionaire? If things aren’t proven then how do we KNOW that they exist? God is pretty much a theory Clare, a weak and silly little theory. And your wrong, there is nothing more than this life. We are grains of sand on a beach in the universe, everything runs by science. And the world being flat, was that proven with god or SCIENCE? I have no pregidus against religions, no, not even mormons. I just don’t think god exists, any gods. The only reason christianity is stupid is because it was INVENTED much later than any other religion. It’s not even based on anything with evidence. That’s right Clare, it was just made out of nothing. So I’ll tell you what, we have scientists for a reason, they are there to help us define life. God is there to help people conceive of a false belief with death. Everything runs by evidence Clare, science, courts, everything!

Oh gee, okay Chris. I’m saying that God is not one of those things that can be proven. It can’t be PROVEN that the Dodo bird existed except for the word of a few people passed on threw generations. Yet, SCIENTISTS still believe it was a living thing at one stage. And when I die and the rest of my family evntually die there’ll be no evidence to say I ever existed except a piece of paper saying I was alive once.
But that doesn’t mean anything does it, God is something you either believe or you don’t and there’s nothing you or I can do to change that.
The argument is endless.
Science can’t tell us how we came to be here it stops at the big bang, I just think that someone must have created this great source of life.
For people to have faith in something is a wonderful thing I don’t see what is wrong with that?
Also you havn’t explained all the miracles that have happened and neither has science so my point still stands.

Okay Clare, give me an example of these “miracles”. I’ll bet that if I can’t give you a good answer, there is a scientist that can. And by the way, that’s why they are called miracles, because they are miraculous. A one in a million type of thing. Considering the fact that there are six and a half billion people alive, that’s quite a few miracles, wouldn’t you agree?
