No I’m just taking out some anger right now. I advocate for people to understand the different situations everyone’s in...but that also includes everyone here on moviecodec. I’m not saying that my opinion is better or right, but I do have a pretty good educational background behind me. And the way I approach problems may differ significanly from others here.
I mention certain things because I want others to consider them, even if they don’t agree. I want people to look outside the box dammit. ---

Ok. Were you joking? Please say yes.
Not really. Take out “simply”(it’s not my sole or main reason, but still one), throw it back into context, and there you go.
I was all angry, but now I’m deflated...almost.
got herself pregnant. I don’t care what you meant, it’s the ability of people to use language that way...it’s fed into our social system. This ridiculous patriarchal society.
Fuck, this is why the whole abortion debate is about more then the concept of murder of an unborn child (although the pro-life side likes to ignore other factors).
I’m rambling but look...what does this sentence imply (whether you meant it too or not)...
Totalitus wrote:

You put all responsibility on the woman. It takes two to tango; unwanted pregnancies usually come with unsupportive dads. I’m sorry, does this seem like slightly unfair arrangement? If you answer “yes” you would be right.
For that matter, rape by a stranger is fairly easily defined, but do you realize how many woman are rapped by their partners...probably enough to make you sick. There are power struggles that exist in relationships and there is also connection of this to income and education which...surprise surprise also relates to instances of abortions.
You want to put tighter regulations on abortion? Fine, but you’d better also change the patriarchal and capitalist system in which we’re all entrenched.
Ugh. I don’t even like abortions, but I hate this top-down system of solving problems. I also hate the overwhelmingly religious component to the pro-life side. In fact, right now, I knida hate everything.
Sorry..I’m just in a bad mood.
What do I mean by that sentence? I mean if someone decides to go have sex, they know that there’s a good possibility that they will get pregnant. If she does, she should have to face the consequences of her actions. If she doesn’t want to worry about it, she shouldn’t have sex.
And I unless it’s rape, which means any rape. | | | 26 Nov 2007 05:58 pm |

Never said that.
But the woman shouldn’t have sex if the guy isn’t wearing the condom OR she could put on protection. Basically what you’re saying is since one person is a dumbshit and doesn’t think before acting, they both should be dumbshits and just start humping. That’s what you’re saying. You’re isolating the female here. You’re saying the ultimate decision is on her. No, its on both. If he’s not wearing a condom, why should she be the only one to decide against it? Why not him? ---

No you didn’t say that...that’s the point, you didn’t even think to at least include the male as part of this.
Abortion is often tied to inequality. Don’t lump your upper-class party girl with the girl from the poor neighborhood and the 30year boyfriend taking advantage of her. Abortion laws do far more damage to the latter.
I made a similar point in response to fucky’s post.
I don’t want people to get abortions. But I would much rather have it done safety in a legal environment then unsafely; regardless of the reasons for abortion. ---

I in no way, shape, or form said that they should just fuck it and do the sex.
I said, and I thought I made myself perfectly clear, that the man is also to blame. Then again, sarcasm is hard to read on the Internet, eh?
Hell, in my previous post I specifically said its on both. ---
