jpb Guest | That seems to be the view amongst believers. That if you don’t believe you’re sinful or immoral.
Can’t you be ethical by secular means?
On the topic of going to hell simply because you don’t believe: assuming there is a God, why would he send someone to hell if they led a moral life (practicing things like love, compassion, tolerance, etc.) even if they don’t believe?

Assuming you’re referring to Christianity, or any other religion that preaches equality, any such claim to be better or to denounce another’s morality and ethics and claim yours to be automatically better based on what you at least claim to believe would go against the very concept of love and acceptance and forgiveness and equality.
Just saying. If you want to call yourself a Christian, walk the walk, don’t just talk the talk.

I feel like I’m like your fan club, but as long as you keep making the same points that I myself would make and I keep seeing them, then I am going to keep on saying I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Just because you don’t believe in a deity doesn’t mean you have no morals. They can be based off things such as personal experiences or just how you think.

What about the millions who died at the hands of the popes, all thoese people who where killed because they said they didnt believe, the slavery, sexisum, child killing and the consistent destruction of logic.
Hitler was a christian. While it is true that Joseph Stalin , Mao Zedong and Pol Pot were all atheists, this is not the only thing they have in common. They were also men, political leaders and communists. Merely citing common denominators does not establish the cause of their actions. It is important to consider what was the main driving force in their committing atrocities against their own people.

We moslems died from the battle of crusades... they judges us cruel and immorality... but they have no proof about that too... look at Saladin and King Richard and what Saladin did to help King Richard from sickness...???
Just like I said before... the religion people (a few of them).. doing what atheist did... and atheist (a few of them doing what the religious people did)...
