yeah but aren’t you Native?

Natives tend to know a lot about the people who stole their land

Thats fair enough lol it just seemed like common knowledge to me ...

& Americans stole land too.

that’s who I meant mostly wink Though we stole land too, just with more words and less bloodshed {less, but not None} so we aren’t much better in that respect, except Native lands up here are “Territories”.. But a Rez is a Rez no matter which of our countries it’s in

&& Canada preferred assimilation tactics to opress us and prevent us from protesting but in both cases bloodshed was involved.

Well thats good atleast I don’t have to explain myself everytime I say rez.

Actually most Americans I’ve met have told me they thought Toronto was the capital of Canada. We may act like we are, but we’re not lol. If you asked them the name of our prime minister...they had no clue. And until we corrected them, my American cousins thought Ontario was part of the US lol.

I could go on with my American tourist stories...

Actually, I would have thought Toronto was Canada’s capital (still don’t know, I would need to look it up) and I hove no idea who Canada’s prime minister is. Why should Americans need to know any of this? It’s not like it’s high our “important facts to know” list.

Thats true to an extent but at the same time, ask any Canadian who the president of the United States is and a good majority can answer correctly.

Maybe they just watch alotta CNN ...

Everybody knows who Bush is. Because he sucks so much.

shocked like the Patriot Act? Wiretapping? The government’s right to search your home and business without your knowledge and consent or even a warrant?

And what “freedoms” are we lacking? We have a better social system (funded health care, etc.) and we certainly don’t have to worry about our government spying on us without due legal course...or throwing us in Guantanomo Bay without any charges being made.

well a couple years ago some of the clan elders of each Province got tired of eating seal meat and freezing in our Government Igloo, so they decided to have something called an Elexion or some such thing like that? Next year they’re going try to let women vote, but we still aren’t sure on that one

On a serious note

I went to a hockey game and my friends and I were being assholes and making jokes about Canadians in Florida and it being so different from their native climate they can only keep cool on the ice.

I was just looking at the program and practically the entire team is seriously from Canada.

I THOUGHT I WAS JOKING BUT I WASN’T PRETTY CRAZY HUH?

we’re born with a stick in our hands, mine was lead core, so I learned to draw instead. But from 2 years old to 10, my uncles would strap hockey pads to my body and fire slapshots at me in the parking lot of our ghetto complex in Scarborough {the slummy side of Toronto}

from November to April there is snow and ice, so what else ya gonna do? Plus most arena’s run straight till june, or all year round
