“humble acknowledgment of your lack there of”? Get real, sister! I specifically gave reasons why I’m not compelled to know the name of Canada’s Prime Minister and none of them suggest I’m “too good” for the particular knowledge in question. And still after all this debate I haven’t once looked up his name out of curiosity. You know why? I DON’T FUCKING CARE! Hahaha I mean, is that so hard to believe? Damn, chazill out, Canadians.

No it isn’t.

Yes it is. So is Canada. The land was taken from the Natives.

Yes they did. However, your entire race was created from Spain taking over Mexico and breeding with Mayan Indians to create what you are.

I assume you’re referring to the approx. 60 or so percent of the population who is of mixed European and Native origin? There’s more than one ethnicity in Mexico...

Ok I just had to do that.

What I find funny about that video is take that same Canadian from channel 22 and have him ask the same questions to any other country around the globe and he’d get the same or even worse result. So really, the joke is on Canada. Hahaha

Or should I say, 'The joke is ON America (because Canada is on top)'? Hahaha

OK, hang on, you need a reality check.

First of all, nearly every spec of land on the planet has been fought over.

Secondly, You act as if the Indians were helpless, innocent people who were viciously attacked.

Thirdly, what do you think the Indians did? they fought each other over the same land. But as soon as someone else with a slightly different skin color comes into play, it’s suddenly bad.

How do you justify that? Unconsciously your segregating them so your argument comes out on top.

Skin colour doesn’t matter. I would likewise say that the Scots “stole” the land from the Picts (both white, Celtic cultures)...or anywhere else a country or region has been taken from another culture by force, assimilation, violence, or numerous promises (treaties) that were never properly followed through on...

As for the treaties...let’s say you told someone they could use something of yours. You made certain arrangements about how much they could use and how much you could use. They wound up ignoring your agreement and just taking it all anyhow. Wouldn’t you feel upset, betrayed...or even that it was “stolen” from you?

About the skin color issue, I wasn’t talking about you, nor a single person. I’m talking about it in general. Most people, from what I’ve seen, tend to separate sides due to skin color. Whether purposely or not.

Oh please, it’s not like the Indians didn’t breaks their own agreements. Especially considering an Agreement between the Europeans and the Natives does not account for all the Indians of North America.

People claim land by cheating, lying, stealing, and murdering. It happened then, it still happens now. You can’t take a side in it all.

Okay, okay. My bad. I’m just being an asshole and you’re right, you never implied one of the two options about me but basically gave your view that I was one of the two. I immediately assumed one of the worst. (thinks to self... fuuuck! women sometimes)(thinks again to self, only in text over the InternetZ would she be able to see my actual thoughts). After all, she can’t see my irresistible smile).

I do think you’re a wee bit arrogant. But I also have fairly strong views on the value of knowledge which I don’t expect you to share. I’m sorta a critical postmodern thinker but the postmodern stuff is paradoxical in itself and doesn’t work well in debates (realizes that I’m am probably rambling far too much now and should probably stop).....

So does Canada. So far I fail to see that the US has any freedoms that we lack. Or do you automatically assume that any country that isn’t the US lacks these freedoms?

As for the Patriot Act:
http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/17326res20030403.html

Also, after you read about the Patriot Act...so much for freedom of speech, eh? wink. (Hoping that once Bush is out of office that Act will get reviewed).

*Looks up the word 'paradoxical' on Wikipedia.com*

*Ahem*

Yes, I can sense the postmodern philosophy in conjunction with a paradoxical contradiction in your previous posts. Very clever and complicated whilst leaving arrogant dumb asses such as myself in question as to WTF you’re talking about. I admire you for your knowledge but I still don’t give a shit about Canada’s Prime Minister’s name. But then again, you never gave a shit if I give a shit. It’s all “a boot” the ignorance of knowledge that pisses you off (which I find very sexy by the way).

So that’s why I never get any dates! I just haven’t told the guys all about my philosophy on knowledge! glare

Haha, I can’t believe you looked up paradoxical...and not to worry I don’t really know what I’m talking about.

Although...don’t be so bold as to think that what goes on in Canada doesn’t affect you, the two countries are pretty closely linked, and even though the name of our prime minister isn’t that important, what he does may and has affected you; even if you don’t realize it.
But that being said, that’s true of most things in the world...especially nowadays what with our “globalization” and whatnot.

p.s. Groundhog Day is a great moviewink

Alright so because land has been fought over everywhere, we’re just supposed to sit back and ignore history?

I’m Native American, and I think its you that needs a reality check. The federal government on both sides of the border has admitted to the land belonging to us with distinct communities and traditional values, What more do you want?
