I agree, I’m definitely an offline person. although, organizing a huge 32 vs 32 game would be really hard. If you were to accomplish this though, i think the offline with friends would be more fun than playing with random people from all over the globe. plus you can talk and laugh about the game during and after your finished. Easier to organize the players into strategies as well when it’s in person.
online is only better in terms of challenge and convenience.
From 077 to Turok To Halo to boxing or racing games.
I play at work all the time on lunch and afternoon breaks, and nothing beats playing 30 minute tournaments with 5-6 other people in the same room. It’s not something I do everyday, but on Fridays mainly, 2-3 times a month, I love it. Socom online cant come close to that.
I remember a while ago playing 007 with about 3 other friends almost all day everyday(well, not quite, but you know what I mean) for about a month straight when it first came out.

to be fair we don’t have an online console, but still, having good times with friends beside you beats online anytime

Because you Can’t Play With your freinds Online
Oh wait...
I think what makes offline with friends instead of online so great is the pressure and will to want to impress everyone. When you play online, you don;t really feel that to a great measure.
I also find that playing offline with friends you learn more about the game.
Offline or LAN just because you know who’s all playing generally. Allows for more fun to know who you’re playing. Same goes for online multiplayer really, once you get a good group of people going life is grand but nothing beats playing in person.
