u can change that font thing in preferences, its set like that for lcd screens.
i duno what u guys have against the design of mac computer software but i find it better than the standard firefox design. and no im not a macbot i don’t own any of their computers but i am starting to quite like them over pc
my bookmarks work on it. duno if it takes up more ram but it runs faster on my computer. and if i wana open a new tab i just scroll click on a link or bookmark

i don’t know what you have against the ie7 tabs i quite like it.
and a web browser is down to preferance.
if you feel that the browser you are using is the fastest then you wont get the stress telling you your using an inferior browser. even if your using a slower browser you would still have the benefits on the body of a faster browser.
you can have the fastest browser but think its slower than most and then you get stressed thinking your internets slower than wat it should be yada yada yada.
in conclusion, its down to preference and wat you need it for
