Gaara has the Absolute Defense. And the Shield of Sand. Plues a whole array of other types of jutsu he can use: He IS a Kazekage. He would know at least ONE water type move or something.

Crocodile is very strong, and has lots of powerful techniques...but unless Gaara loses all his chakra, then Croco has no chance...

Gaara is definitely not more evil than Crocodile. And just because Crocodile is made solid by water doesn’t make him any less deadly.

Crocodile controls and becomes sand, a sand shield certainly won’t stop him. And if Gaara uses a water jutsu, Croc can absorb all of the moisture.

What does being evil have to do with this debate? And furthermore, his “ultimate defense” was broken by Sasuke. It’s not really so ultimate. Crocodile can turn into sand if he so wished it, and make weapons out of sand. Gaara is not going to win this. Even if he has the Shukaku, there’s no chance it’s going to be activated.

Unless Gaara loses all his chakra? Like I said earlier, Croc doesn’t waste energy using his power but Gaara does. He would eventually run out of chakra.

It doesnt mean that if he is Kazekage that he has to have any other moves.

Did you saw what he was able to do against Deidara?When you posses the power to control entire freakin desert on a whim,you dont need anything more so I doubt he has any other jutsu(expecially NOT suiton/water jutsus).
So my guess is that this match ends as stealmate.Idont see anything that Gaara can do to Crocodile,but i cant see Crocodile doing anything to Gaara either.

Wrong, Crocodile can turn his whole body to sand magically thanks to those devil fruits and absorb all Fluid from GAARA body XD

Even if Crocs can control sand aswell that wont give him any adventage,cause then they would be able to do the same thing and nothing would happen at all.
Only possible end would be,as Agung already said,that one of them get exausted and that way lose the match.
