Dose anyone know when (if ever) will i be able to listen to music on my PS3 while im playing a game like on my 360

Sony has said they are trying to implant such a feature.

Don’t expect it, in-game XMB, or in-game messaging any time soon though.

Just have your computer/stereo/360 play the music while you play the ps3.

theres no confirm date for it but it is coming. it may have some problems getting mixed up with the actual game and it could interfarewith your gaming experience but with games like gran turismo its nice to be able to listen to your own music.

btw can anyone tell me when the ps3 will support divx? and with the divx codec allow you to play avi type video files? cus i would like to play the i.t. crowd on my ps3, unless one of you can tell me another way i can play it on the ps3?

or what you could do is just send me software that allows me to convert files to mpeg-2 or wat ever ps3 supports and at a very high quality too

DivX will be supported in a few months.

Something I don’t get, if MS can get the 360 to have DivX, why can’t Sony do that for the PS3?

i think it was the creators of divx to go to consoles, not really sonys or microsofts desision. and since microsofts platform has alot of windows aspects to it the creators of divX probably used the 360 to start off.

and now they are guna start work on the ps3 version.

at first it sounds like sonys and microsofts decision to ring up divX and tell them to implement it but really divx made the decision to go onto other platforms. SO DONT BLAME SONY BITCH!

Actually, DivX has been in the works for the PS3 for a while, and Sony wants them to support the PS3.

dam! can u give me a link to software that converts the video files to mpg2 or what ever format is best quality for ps3? and i want it to be able to convert at top notch quality (little to no loss in quality)

The PS3 mainly uses MP4 format...

I think thats fairly easy to convert... Try G00Gl3.
