It had very little inspiration to keep you watching. Frankly, its only for people who are baffled by fantasy and good CG.
The characters were shit. Pure shit. I mean, they couldn’t be more flat than we used to think of the Earth. The girl was just a little bitch who managed to get everything done using the oh-so-childish plot device of “I’m a kid and I need something done! HELP ME!" Nevermind the majority of the movie didn’t touch on the whole prospect of the Golden Compass itself, which she just upped and figured out and it faded in the background. There was no point to this trash.
I don’t care if any other movies are set to explain the movie or make up for its poor plot development and shitty characters. This movie sucks, and it sucks even more if it has to rely on another film.
No, I didn’t read the books, nor do I want to. But, I’m not talking about the books, I’m talking about the movie. So if anyone mentions the book to rebut me, then I won’t respond to them.
That being said, the bear fight was fucking sweet.

Yeah, I was being a bit harsh, because I expected more. I enjoyed some parts, but overall it was a letdown because of what I mentioned in my previous posts. Poor characters and a plot that wandered too much.

Now i know you woont respond to this post but at leat read it.OK lets get started.The Golden Compass has some very good characters like Iorek Byrinson and Leee Scoresby.Ok every book movie is not as good as the book.Also i have a bookmark in my book The Amber Spyglass that says ''Never Judge A Book On Its Movie''.Also at the end of the book The giant polar bear[Iorek Byrison]eats the other bears heart out[The bear king Iofur Rykison].Also i bet they did not even include when Lyra went to Bolvagr wich was the best part in the book.Or when when the ciff-ghasts attaked Lee Scoresby ship on the way to To the bear king.Wich i have made my point the book is much better than its movie. and also The Golden Compass has won a lot of awards at least 30 or more awards.and i typed this in the dark so dont blame me if anything is not readable.
