i guarantee nas’s new album, comin out in 2008, will overshadow all of weezy’s albums combined. and you cannot tell me that da carter or any of those albums were anything close to it was written or stillmatic or hip hop is dead. stillmatic has the hottest songs from top down. hip hop is dead has the catchiest songs ever. listen to hope (acapella). that shit is crazy off the top. lil wayne should not be considered the best rapper alive because

1. he doesnt really talk about anything
2. people claim he’s unique but its just his voice that gives him the recognition
3. clever rhymes? what clever rhymes? what clever rap songs?

nas, on the other hand, is the greatest rapper alive because

1. hes been consistent as hell
2. hes extremely lyrical and poetic
3. he can keep in rhythm with the beat
4. he is extremely clever with the lines “i never sleep cuz sleep is the cousin of death”
5. he rapped an entire story backwards in his song “rewind”
6. he can ACTUALLY freestyle
