Bioshock had weird licensed 50’s music in it which gave it a creepy atmosphere. Halo 3 and Mass Effect both have amazing soundtracks. I liked Mass Effects a lot because it felt like an old Sci-Fi movie with the all the techno sounds. They also did a great job of having a under-arcing theme that was incorporated into a bunch of songs in the soundtrack. I think Halo’s was the best because nothing beats a live orchestra playing the most epic music ever.
“Still Alive” from Portal is my favorite song from any game, but Portal doesn’t really have a “soundtrack” per-say because that’s the only song in the game.
Bioshock was fun but it gets way too easy near the end of the game mainly if you have maxed out your best stats and killed nearly everyone in sight. Games are supposed to be harder near the end, giving you the feeling that you are ready to take on the big entity that has given you trouble this whole time.
MP3 was not even mentioned in these awards because X-play gave it a 4 out of 5 just because they had trouble controlling it, seems like they cannot handle a different kind of shooting game, I had no problem aiming or losing sight of my foes I just used the advanced setting and tracked them all down and killed them all in the end.

I’m a bit offended at how they’d just hand best innovation to Assassin’s creed, after all of the climbing on buildings and running on walls was done by Prince of Persia 4 years before.

MP3 also should have been on at least 1 one the lists.
Well that is X-play for you, they had really little respect for the GC but when the wii came out they had more respect and started lossing interest in the PS3, they only respect the 360 a lot for Halo 3 and for biowares games like Star Wars KOTOR. They are sadly baised towards the 360, I mean 3 games this year they just decided to give a 5 out of 5? Only SMG got a 5 out of 5 this year for the wii mainly because it is Mario, almost like they are tossing a pity score here.
You know what will make me laugh, when they review Bioware’s next RPG- The Sonic DS RPG, let us see how they treat one of their favorate companies when they make a game with a character they have little respect for.
They were open to more games like BW2 am that was an honest review of a 4 out of 5 but they just complained about controls in other games. Somthing tells me they will just give SSBB a normal review basiclly nothing special for it then they hold a huge event for MGS4 like the graphic whores they are.
If you don’t like their reviews then don’t watch them. Every reviewer has different bias and you need to know that going in. I know that a Shane Bettenhausen will be much different then a Jeff Gerstmann review, so I take that into consideration when I read it.
