you have to go next gen sometime. this same discussion was probably had when the first Tony Hawk wasn’t put on the PlaystationOne and only on Playstation 2. Developers just like using better technology

It’s always about the money. That’s why they tried to make a good game in hopes that’ll increase sales haha. It’s all a business. Maybe individual developers care about quality, but up at the top, all they care about is how long will it take to make it, how much will it cost, and how much will I gain off of it. Gaming is a business not a funfair.
The people at the top know that a triple A game can not be made on the PS2 anymore

The last TH game on PS1, wast THPS4. It released in late 2002, 2 years after the PS2 released and 1 year after the GC and Xbox.
Developers stop bringing titles to a platform when either the software buying userbase has shifted, or softwae sales fade away. It’s all about the money. Wherever they can make the most money they’ll put a game. Why do you think there are so few PS3 3rd party exclusives. All have to go on 360 for one development time. two development costs. And there titles on 360 sell better. Just how it goes. This is why you’ll probably never see a 3rd party truly optimize the PS3 power. So much for all about the better tech.

Supposedly the reasoning was that COD3 on Wii didn’t sell as much as they had wanted, despite it outselling the PS3 version. But it’s so easy to port a 360 game to the PS3, so PS3 would have got one no matter what, as long as the 360 gets one.

it’s been 2 years after the 360 came out, Activision is right on schedule

also Activision wants people to go next gen because they get more money that way 10 extra dollars per game really adds up fast.
Actually you can make more money off a Wii game at $50 than a 360/PS3 game at $60. Really most of the $50 Wii games are a ripoff. They could easily sell them for $10-$20 less and still be making more of a profit than Activision is making off of COD4 currently. Like Capcom made a fortune off of RE4: Wii Edition. Take 2 is making a fortune off of Carnival Games. And Ubisoft made lots of money off Red Steel and Rayman: Raving Rabbids.

If they were then they’d be investing more time and money to optimize a better PS3 version which they didn’t. Activision is doing what every other 3rd party does. Port the 360 game to the PS3. Not make 2 seperate versions.

it also sucked massive dick
Controls in the game were apsolutely incredible. Better than anything until MP3.

In the end it comes down to this. Gaming is a business where people are in it for money. The only reason games are of any quality, is such that devs can compete for brandname and hype against other publishers. If they make a shitty game then they’ll get no publicity, despite Madden games getting too much.
Quality, like in every other market, is the works of competition not artistic love. Except for Kojima and Miyamoto who basically have control over all their projects.
Quality is tied hand in hand with hype and brandname. This is why the whole “cash in” idea with the Wii has yet to work for many developers.

controls sucked and graphics were unbearable
You didn’t play the game enough if you thought the controls sucked. Cause I beat that game over 10 times, and I know how awesome they were. If I had a camera I’d show you a video of me playing it. How it was meant to be played. COD3 was the first Wii FPS I played that I knew wiimote control crushed anything dual analog could provide.

The aiming was good, but anything involving the numchuck was horrible

malvo thats because ur a grafic whore and a complete retard for not customizing the controls
and since when is appreciating higher quality art bad?
Higher quality art pales in comparison to innovative artistic style. That is why Okami is still one of the best graphical achievements in games yet. It makes Crysis look like a wimp. Shinji Mikami is a true game design genius.
