I think the majority of people supporting this list are complete numbskulls.

Christian comes from the word Christ.

The bible and all that shit is NOT representative of Christianity. You can’t just read the Bible and have an understanding of Christian beliefs. No one can. That’s why there are so many different sects of christianity.

The bare bones of Christianity is following Christ’s teachings. Christ’s teaching had a good thing behind them. They had good intentions.

For anyone to try and take something like Christianity and try to make it seem like some big bad demon that needs to be stopped is beyond me. Same for the other Abrahamic religions. They’re great things. However, in EVERYTHING there are retards who take things too far. Hell, there are retarded atheists out there too.

The Abrahamic religions have done more for this world than people like to admit. The majority of common laws today are based off of Judaism/Christianity (I leave Islam out since it is more recent and thus hasn’t had as much of an influence). Not even written laws, just common laws, that we don’t even think about.

Someone who truly understands their religion won’t do those thing to an atheist simply because they don’t believe the same things. Now you might say “oh but their very religion says that we are going to go to hell for being atheists!" Yeah, and your very belief is saying that what should be the most important thing in their life, their faith, what they are striving to accomplish so that they can be treated to good things after death, is a lie and a pipedream. You tell them that their loved ones who are dead are gone forever, and that they get the same shaft as Hitler, just death.

Now you may think “I would never say that!" but the fact that you don’t believe in the whole heaven/hell thing pretty much says you believe that it’s true.

I have a lot of Christian friends, and I’m a satanist. Hell, my girlfriend’s a Christian. We get along fine. She never tries to shove her beliefs down my throat and I don’t do that to her. Know what that’s called? Civility. Understanding differences and just letting them be.

I only meant the stereotypical evangelical christian. I also have plenty of christian friends, and we get along fine. Someimes, we get into arguments about faith, but its always civil. Honestly, the evangelical atheists that seem to have been popping up after 9/11 piss me off more than the worst fundamentalist...
