Never said pirates weren’t dastardly.
They were.
But ninjas never played fair, ever. Ninjas exploited their enemies. For example, a samurai was not allowed to attack somebody in the back, so the ninja would purposely approach them with their back to them, then turn around at point-blank range for a quick stab.
Pirates, while evil, weren’t cowards.
