nas is not good...he’s a legend. lyrically better than all the rappers alive today. i cant believe anyone rides that south shit lil wayne these days. this is why hip hop is dead. and that new album is gonna rip all those bitchass posers to pieces. i cant think of one hit by lil wayne that even comes close to a track on nas’s latest album hip hop is dead.

Ludacris is good, but he talks about sex and shit too much.
However, both are part of the South’s best.
T.I. is good, but his last two albums... pretty much sucked. Urban Legend and Trap Muzik were really good, though.
Young Dro is... honestly, a joke.
Jeezy, however, I like. And I still like. --- "Death is inevitable... Welcome it as a friend, and it can’t be your enemy”

they try and be popular
and for the record, scarface is the king of the south
as for nas, i honesly didnt get hip hop is dead,i didnt really like the first hit and i had a gut feeling about how the album was gonna be but then i heard it could be compared to his classics and i gave a few other tracks a listen and they were phenomenal(my favorite wuz can’t forget about you)
so even though, hes doing these titles to cause alot of ruckus, i think nas will come thru 4 his fans again
anybody hear his first single, surviving the times? --- In a sense, I’ve lost my innocence

i think nas broke through w/ new york state of mind. that shit...is incredible. and nas is respected because he speaks social issues. he doesnt ride all that lame shit that southern rappers talk about. chamillionaire is only one of few that i can think of today who talks bout that real kind of shit. and nas always comes thru for his fans. even tho the critics thought “it was written” was too mainstream, you can’t deny that there was a shitload of classics on that album (eg. street dreams). theres always a song on each album that gets to people. the last album, the track “hip hop is dead” caused controversy, but you can’t blame him. hip hop is dying. i wish we had rap way back from run dmc and doug e fresh all the way to nas and jay-z repeated again. a shitload of legends were in that period..too bad i was too young to appreciate that shit. RIP biggie, big l, pac, pun, eazy-e, etc. that shit was real. only real rappers in the new generation (not including jay-z, nas, fat joe and those peeps) that i have respect for in mainstream nowadays are cassidy, kanye and lupe and some others. not a lot. lil wayne...as much as i hate him...has clever lines once in awhile. but thats about it. i fuckin hate bubba sparxxx and all those other rappers. ludacris is good even tho he raps a lot bout sex. T.I. gets hits once in awhile. but yung joc, soulja boy, 50 cent and those other guys? they’re not real.

I just like the way he puts shit together when he raps.I dunno its hard to explain but everything just fits together nice and flows amazingly well so that its hard not to listen to the whole song. I feel most of his songs they paint a clear picture for me. ---

jullz Guest | wtf yal arguing about the south bullshit for?? that shit is wack and plain dumb...so it shouldnt even deserved getting talked over cuz is pointless and not hip hop. this is about NAS so lets keep it this way. hes new album ofcourse going to have something behind it. the man has so much knowledge its just crazzy. lyrics are always superb..
and he is def going to have a messege behind this LP. nas is one of the few rappers til this day still keeping it alive so big ups to him for that. ~jullz~
