Nabasa-sama looked down at the desembodied organ being offered before him. “Excellent!" he said. He held the frozen heart in his hand, weighing it up. “Indeed, you have exceeded my excpectations. Your reward? You shal recieve the sum of 350,000 yen, and this." He gestured to a female servant, who opened a large chest underneath his chair and took out a beautiful sword. It was decorated with intertwining twin dragons, and a large emerald encrusted into the hilt. “This sword is known as The Deity, and it was given to me by my father. This sword has slain many a man, and now it is yours."
Amakage walks briskly along the path, he hadn’t even been paying attention to the man to who following behind him, not yet anyway. He was getting closing, and it was annoying.
“Persistent”
He spoke with an odd accent, if anybody had heard him, it was obvious that English wasn’t his native language.
He reached back into his back again, pulling forth yet another scroll with the katakana for doppelganger on it. Unraveling the scroll quickly he recited yet another incantation, a smoke blast appeared beside him..
Tementeye was approaching quickly, he could easily see the figure of a man ahead of him. He was getting close and he knew it.
Amakage turned around, with nowhere else to run his choices were limited.
“I can’t fight a guard” He yelled out to his pursuer in a clearly understandable voice. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small knife, dropped to his knees, and stabbed himself in his stomach. Blood trickled out if his mouth as his vision blurred and all life seemed to leave his body...
BIC: Tementeye ran up to the suicidal assassin, and checked his pulse. He felt no heartbeat. “Dead," Tementeye said to himself. “Dead! ******!" he cursed. His prey was dead, and yet, so was his master. But certainly, he began to think, the assassin did a job this dangerous for a wealthy prize, no? Of course... Upon accomplishing the hit, a warrior who so smoothly completed his mission wouldn’t give in like this. It must be some kind of trick. Tementeye scanned the area, and headed off in the most logical direction the true murdered would have taken.
“Logic, my friend, can remove any illusion."
Snickering to himself, Amakage watched as Tementeye rushed off along the path. “Ahou” He stood up from behind the brush and watched his doppelganger slowly disappear into the ground.
He had been hiding there all along, and now that the guard was gone, he could safely make his way back to his clan, albeit in failure. But that isn’t all he’ll be bringing with him.
He reached into his bag and pulled out a solid gold ring, probably worth his weight in yen. It would be a good secondary offering for his master.
He made his way back to the hideout, and within a small amount of time was walking through the gates and into the room with Nabasa-sama and the “victor”
“I wasn’t able to obtain a kill, but it seems like that wasn’t needed on my behalf” He stopped for a moment taking his time to look towards Elk. “But I did retrieve this for you."
He laid the down the golden ring, in the light it was easy to see the silver embroidery and ruby stones embedded across it.
“For you, my lord."
His English wasn’t that good. But at least it was understandable.
Tementeye wandered for almost a half hour, before he gave up. He traversed back to the mansion. Upon arrival, he found most guards dead, and his own partner, tied up in a closet, whom he freed. He walked to the village and alerted the guards, and the search for the assassins began...
