Actually, pirates DID have more experience. Ninjas get skill the second hand way (training), pirates learn to kill the first hand way (actually going out and killing people IE: experience).
So, saying a ninja has more skill than a pirate is like saying a FPS video gamer has more skill than a war veteran.
Besides, who said pirates didn’t know martial arts? (speaking about European/American 18th century pirates) I’m betting most of them would have known fencing, boxing and wrestling, not to mention marksmanship, which could technically be considred the deadliest of all their martial arts.

On the contrary, pirates speak multiple languages as they travel the lands on sea; plundering villages and ships. Pirates are also from very many countries, as they are sometimes just kidnapped people forced to become pirates.
This means that a ninja pirate is entirely possible as well.

I have to say with The Ask a Ninja ninja I can’t see how they would lose. I Pirates could beat Ninjas I would have trained to become a pirate not a ninja.......one day I will be accepted into the Brotherhood of Life.
ninjas rarely, and I mean rarely ever used their martial arts experience, so that’s not an advantage. You overestimate martial arts, you probably don’t even really know what it is.

Anyways, you cannot claim that martial arts are > than street fighting, because you failed to specify a type for either. For example, where I live in Detroit, street fighting is considered pulling out your 9 and getting behind something. And I beleive that beats the martial art study of judo, because sadly, you cannot kick a bullet.
