You know what’s funny? I can root wars, chaos, plague and starvation right back to religion! If there was no religion, there would be no wars about who’s god is best or who deserves this holy land. If there were no religion, there would be no chaos for pretty much the same reason there would be no wars. If there were no religion, we wouldn’t be plagued with the dogmatic ideas of religion itself that have caused a lot of this. And finally, if there were no religion we could use ALL that money that is spent on churches, synagogues, temples, publishing holy books, and missionaries... and use it to feed the hungry instead!
And actually, as I remember, it was pretty much like waking up from a dream when I became an atheist. I don’t believe in talking snakes or worship Jewish zombies anymore.

Believe it or not but the living God actually hates religion......by hate, I mean that He has judged all religions, islam, christianity, Judaism, etc etc, and specifically the one called Babylon, which continues in so many forms today in these three and others. As for the pitiful thing called good and evil, these are just fruit among the same tree. Its the carrot that weary peple plod toward too in the vain attempt to give meaning to their lives whilst all the time their is so evil going on in their situation and around them. They are not so different. There is another tree though..It called Life and its taste differs entirely different from good and evil...

Talking snake? Jewish zombie? Making a belief sound stupid doesn’t mean it is stupid... haven’t you seen the episode of South Park where Mr (I mean, Mrs) Garrison teaches the class about evolution?

Of course I’ve seen it. But the difference is that talking snakes and Jewish zombies are actually what Christians believe in. In south park when Mr./Ms Garrison was making fun of evolution, he/she was actually making two very common misconceptions of evolution which are:
1. that we came from monkeys
2. that since we came from monkeys it’s ok to act like them
The truth is that science has never disproved anything in the Bible. Science continually points to what is written in the Bible.
The new Ben Stein film and many other works by non-Christians go forward to prove that point. Scientists have theories, which they cannot prove, about the origination of life, but are based on the facts they know. That is fine — God encourages us to discovery His Creation. But at the end of their logic it comes back to this — they don’t know who created all of it in the first place.
If you can look at the alignment of the planets, the spacial relationship between the Earth and the sun that makes it possible for human life (as well as the dozens of other necessary conditions for life), the fantastic beauty of nature, and the existence of love (which, in its purest form, serves no biological purpose because it causes you to sacrifice; quite counterintuitive to survival of fittest) — if you can look at all these things and see no evidence of a Creator then you’ve settled in for turning your back on logic. The proof of something divine and intelligent beyond ourselves is found in all of these things and dozens of more real things.
I do not think that atheists have abandoned logic — that is not what keeps them from recognizing the existence of a Creator superior to themselves and all they know. I think the root of atheism is a fear that God is not good.
How human we are to distrust that which we do not know, and when it is superior to us to declare it does not exist at all.
The Creator loves you more than His own son. What freedom there is in receiving that love.
Remember, God will answer the questions you have if you go to Him in hope. But He cannot give answers to the proud. We are too busy interrupting Him.

Give me a few examples.

You have no idea what a theory is do you?
That is fine — God encourages us to discovery His Creation. But at the end of their logic it comes back to this — they don’t know who created all of it in the first place.
So GOD did it because we don’t know right?
If you can look at the alignment of the planets, the spacial relationship between the Earth and the sun that makes it possible for human life (as well as the dozens of other necessary conditions for life), the fantastic beauty of nature, and the existence of love (which, in its purest form, serves no biological purpose because it causes you to sacrifice; quite counterintuitive to survival of fittest) — if you can look at all these things and see no evidence of a Creator then you’ve settled in for turning your back on logic.
If you can look at the same thing and say the Flying Spagetti Monster is not projecting it all into are minds then you have no logic. Honestly though, Thats insane. Why would you even use that. No offence. Love serves a purpose, it will help us to go out and fuck some girl and reproduce.
The proof of something divine and intelligent beyond ourselves is found in all of these things and dozens of more real things.
And those are?
I do not think that atheists have abandoned logic — that is not what keeps them from recognizing the existence of a Creator superior to themselves and all they know. I think the root of atheism is a fear that God is not good.
You got it all wrong. I used to be a hardcore Christian until I 'woke up' so to speak. Atheists are not afraid of god not being good because WE DO NOT BELIEVE HE EXISTS!
How human we are to distrust that which we do not know, and when it is superior to us to declare it does not exist at all.
Uhhh no...We go by evidence in the scientific world. You don’t know there is no Flying Spagetti Monster but do you think he exists?
The Creator loves you more than His own son. What freedom there is in receiving that love.
Remember, God will answer the questions you have if you go to Him in hope. But He cannot give answers to the proud. We are too busy interrupting Him.
He sure as hell fucked up trying to talk to me considering I relized he was not helping me. As I said, I used to be a hardcore christian.

Well, maybe there are other gods. As my mother told me the other day, my god, (Christian God) is a jealous god. He wants us to worship no other god other than himself.

I understand that, I just thought it was wierd how he assumed it was the christian god..Well then again, that god is technically the god of 3 religions soo..But you get my point.
