a prince who has screwed up the timeline by opening an hourglass the sands of time with a dagger that can rewind time that is called the Dagger of Time. then he tries to make everything better. A power hungry vizier had persuaded him to using the dagger so he could attain immortality. he defeats the vizier with the help of a woman named Farah.
when he does.. then this monster was born.
The Dahaka
he hunts down the prince because of his actions he has created a rift in the timeline. not accepting his own fate of dying, he ask an old mystic how he could change his fate... he tells him to go to the island of time to see if the Empress of Time

the Empress has the same fate as him because she is supposed to die at the hand of the prince... he ask her to help but she attacks him, then a battle ensues... the prince kills the empress. thinking that this is over... he tries to go home until the Dahaka attacks. while being chased, the prince comes to a secret chamber that tells him about a mask that can change his fate.. this mask will turn him into a sandwraith.. a being that is a shadow of the person’s self. he must make it where he will travel into the past where the Dahaka will kill his former self(before he finds the mask) when the Dahaka kills his former self, he can take the mask off. then he goes to the Empress where he killed her so he can kill her in the future, but he doesn’t really want to fight her. on the way to the Empress, he finds a sword that can kill the Dahaka. The Water Sword. when he confronts the Empress in the future, the Dahaka appears. the prince and the monster fight to the death. he kills the monster. he ask the Empress to come home with him to Babylon. she goes with him and they are on route to their destination, not knowing that the prince has reset the timeline to before he first opened the sands of time hourglass. The vizier has come back ,and when they reach the shores of Babylon, they are attack by the vizier’s soldiers, capturing the empress of time, with immortality in his grasp, the vizier kills her with the dagger of time so the dagger will absorb the essence of the Empress Kaileena, with the dagger he stabs himself and becomes an immortal monster.
the prince was injured by one of the vizier’s soldiers with a chain while trying to save her. everything starts to crumble around him.. and then a disembodied voice speaks to him about getting revenge on the vizier blaming him for everything that has happened, somehow knowing that he is the true cause for the chaos. on his way to the vizier, he comes upon farah... not knowing that she does not remember him since the timeline has been reset. the voice inside the prince is his darker self, who is planning to take over his entire body so he can kill the vizier and rule babylon. he starts to listen to the voices commands, enraging him, slowly turning into a sand monster
doing this he puts his darker self’s judgment over farah’s, and starts to push her away to the point where she does not trust him. doing so he tries to apologize but he is attacked by the vizier and knocked into an underground well... there he confronts his darker self because of what he has been getting him to do ever since the vizier became immortal. on the way out he comes into an underground chamber where he find his father’s lifeless corpse. saddened by this he decided to accept that he is the cause of what has happened so far. decreasing the power his darker self has over him.
he finally catches up to the vizier and kills him with the dagger because the thing that made him immortal can also reverse the effects.
thinking this is over he is reaching for a crown on the floor until his darker side shows his true self. there is a war going on inside him, the only thing that brought him back and destroyed his dark half was the calming voice of farah. the everything is peaceful.
