Alot of people don’t realize the power of AC Sephiroth, in his fight against Cloud in AC he didn’t use ANY of his powers, he TOYED with Cloud and PIS made him lose, it was even stated by the creators that Sephiroth did not exert himself at all, he could’ve killed Cloud at any point in that fight.

AC Sephiroth infected the lifestream, and took over, he had control over it.. lifestream = power source to EVERYTHING on the planet, meaning he can do ANYTHING he wants, EVERYTHING is made up of lifestream, materia, living beings, etc.. Sephiroth CREATED the 3 Silver Haired Men, and used Jenova’s voice to guide them his true speed and power have not yet been scene, but concidering Loz is just a weak remnant of Sephiroth and how fast his speed is, you can guess at how fast Sephiroth truely is, basically AC Sephrioth has the power to do anything he wants, like he said, “He will change the planet into his own vessel and soar the cosmos” meaning he is capable of transforming the entire planet into his own personal ship and raid other planets.

AC Sephiroth is 100% Jenova, he became the new Jenova, he has ALL of her powers, including Super speed, 100% over all J-cells, intageability, super strength, etc

Sephiroth also has extreme willpower/telekinisis, capable of bringing down the to of buildings with a thought, in FFVII he held back Holy with his willpower throughout the game, Holy is so powerful that it is capable of destroying the planet, Sephiroth held that and contained it throughout the FFVII game, imagine what he can do to physical bodies.

Anyway Sephiroths true powers are still to be seen, he has never been shown to exert himself at all, the creators have stated a few times that Sephiroth is the most powerful character in the FFVII world, meaning more powerful then Chaos,Omega Weiss, and even the goddess Minerva herself

I think the words of the creators > your opinion, Sephiroth DID infact toy with Cloud in that fight.

And yes he could’ve killed Cloud, for somer reason he chose to stab him in the shoulder and keep taunting him when he couldve well stabbed him in the head.

This is a direct quote from the FFVII UOG,

"-It’s said that Cloud was outmatched when it came to the fight with Sephiroth. Sorry everybody who thinks that Cloud was almost on par with him: he wasn’t. Even worse for Cloud, Nomura said that Sephiroth didn’t sweat during the entire fight and never exerted himself. In other words, he wasn’t even trying hard. Cloud on the other hand was clearly giving it his all and was described by the book as exhausted by the time the battle was nearing its conclusion."

Here is the actual “ferocious” quote from the reunion files:
“He (Sephiroth) tells Cloud of his desire to drag the world into darkness, and the battle of the destined rivals begins. The battle is fast and ferocious. Sephiroth eventually takes the upper hand, cornering an exhausted Cloud."

Notice the quote said “The battle is ferocious” not “they were both fighting ferociously” it does not mean that Sephiroth was giving his all, an example i can give you is DBZ,a strong kid gohan can fire his strongest beam, then an even stronger super saiyan goku can retaliate by firing a beam back (not even close to his strongest) and the explosion can be still be “ferocious”.

If it was a fatal wound, then Cloud would have died, because he did not look fatally injured after the fight, unless they redid that in ACC as well. It didn’t look like it was in the chest btw, it looked alot lower.. he still could’ve stabbed him for an instant kill, but he chose not to, so he can keep taunting him. Also in ACC it shows Sephiroth wasn’t even grazed scratched or anything, while Cloud had bruises and cuts. Sephiroth still did not use any of his powers.

Then why is Sephiroth using full powered attacks if he’s playing with Cloud? And do you notice the 'eventually' part, it doesnt say anything like Sephiroth easily takes the upper hand.

In terms of physical prowess it was ferocious, Sephiroth does have other abilities but he wasn’t holding back in physical force, as stated by the sorts of insane attacks he was using.

Do you know anything about anatomy? A stab to the chest is a fatal wound, never mind lifting them up once exhausted. Well to be honest if Sephiroth stabbed Cloud below the chest it would be very difficult to raise him, as Cloud would just slide. Yeah he could have stabbed himin the face, but that still doesn’t change the fact that Sephiroth had to wear Cloud out in a physical battle. Sephiroth only had one fight, Cloud however was fighting all the way through ACC, plus Sephiroth is more durable, AND Sephiroth got slammed once.
