Sauron is an ancient Maia, he’s practically immortal; Palpatine could’ve been killed by Samuel L Jackson, had it not been for his poisoning of Anakin’s mind. Fires of Doom pwn the Hell out of Sith Lightning too, and the God Mace laying waste to entire armies like you see in my signature is far superior to whatever lightsaber skills Palpatine may have.

and yes you were right he could have been killed by mace windu BUT HE WASNT. he was testing anakin skywalker to see if he had the capabilities to become a sith lord.

Sauron is the humanish form of a god just like Gandalf and the other wizard. He can be killed. That’s how he died at the end.
he was only alive because the ring had part of him put in to it but even then he was weak because all he could do was watch things and give orders. Mighty powerful indeed.
