Thats the thing.If Prep time is allowed Byakuya rapes harder.If this is without prep Itachi gets speedblitzed or crushed by Byakuyas spritual pressure.

Itachi is also very adept with standard genjutsu, he can trap others within an illusion by merely pointing or looking at them.

And Byakuya is very adapt with speedblitzing his opponents heck what is Itachi going to do against Byakuyas bankai even though he doesn’t need it.

in the time it would have taken byakuya to do a speedblitz, itachi would have already completed a jutsu to stop his attack and defeat him.

Not really.Byakuya speedblitzed Ichigo easily during their first encounter and Byakuya wasn’t even at his full power.From being in the mere presence of people weaker than him they nearly pass out.Theres also the fact he beat Zomari the seventh espada who was known for his speed.Byakuya wins easily.

Byakuya could also use a binding spell.
