Powers and abilities
Karate Kid is the master of every documented form of martial arts to have been developed up to the 31st Century. He possesses the ability to sense the weakest spot in an object and his skill in hand-to-hand combat is seemingly superhuman, allowing him to simulate super-strength blows. He can severely damage extremely hard and strong materials — metals, stone, etc. — with a single blow. Karate Kid is also skilled with melee weapons, though he dislikes using them and rarely needs to use them.
Karate Kid’s training included mental discipline which makes him more resistant to mind control.
Vs
Yamcha
Yamucha is a skilled swordsman, and is seen using a sword early in the series. His signature technique is the Rogafufuken (Wolf Fang Fist in English dub), a quick flurry of punches and kicks. Yamucha uses the technique often during the series. He has the ability to perform the Kamehameha, a concentrated beam of chi , energy that many other characters in Dragon Ball have the ability to perform as well.[27] Yamucha also uses the Sôkidan (Spirit Ball in English dub) a technique that forms a ball of chi energy to assult an opponent with. Yamucha can fully control the ball, allowing it to home in on enemies and to go underground for a surprise attack.[28] He also possesses superhuman strength and can move at superhuman speeds.
Like most characters within the Dragon Ball franchise, Yamucha has the ability of flight, which he uses many times throughout the series
