There’s practically no difference. They’re both shows of pure will power. And even if he couldn’t control minds without them having J-Cells, he could simply spit on Broly and infect him.

If Broly throws a Ki blast Sephiroth can become intangible and phase through it or he could simply absorb it, since he planned on absorbing the lifestream, spirit energy from DBZ wouldn’t be too hard.

And Sephiroth corrupts his ki, no spirit energy, no ki blasts, Broly can’t do anything with no ki. Sephiroth doesn’t need insane power output to beat him.

Chibi’s right. The only real time that he had trouble controlling Broly is when Goku showed up, which brought back memories of when he was a baby back on Planet Vegeta before it was destroyed by Frieza.

It would be even worse if he got his hands on the Dragonballs. And technically in Second Coming, he should be stronger than he was in Movie 8, since Saiyans get stronger after every hard fought battle.

He was in a near death expirence when he got to earth and when he came back he seemed fine so he was stronger. Which leads me to believe the Gohan in that film didn’t slack off.

I don’t think he did either. The near death experience is what made him seem to be able to take on Gohan who was stronger then he was when they first fought. And I am still wondering if Gohan was an SSJ2. Although the sparks are another way of knowing, it’s also the hair, so it’s actually hard to say.
