Find something with a lower ms response time (5ms is okay, but less is better). This way, ghosting won’t be as much of a problem.

Also, make sure the contrast ratio is at least 10000:1

yeah Contrast Ratio and Responde time are prbly soem of the most important stuff in an HDTV. Also if ur lookign into a 40” range area u prbly wont need 1080p. 720p will do just fine.

is there a big difference in the two? (720p/ 1080p) and will a blue ray player work in a 720p? (making sure)

LCD technology isn’t that great in my opinion...But I’m picky when it comes to refresh rates (LCD’s, because of how they work, have a limited refresh rate), since a 60Mhz refresh rate keeps me from seeing more than 60fps, but that’s computers anyway...

But, I’m not really sure. I think rear projection goes larger, but as for image quality, I really don’t know.

yes Blu Ray will work in 720p.

With smaller TV’s there’s not much difference between 720p and 1080p. I can notice a tiny difference in mine but nothing big at all. I literally have to put my eye on the TV to notice lol.

Anyways i also have a flat panel and it’s good.
