Just wanna say, though I won’t be getting the game and think it’s dumb, that’s a pretty weak argument.

“Why play Call of Duty when you can have much more fun actually joining the army?"

“Why play Guitar Hero if you can just play a real guitar?"

“Why play GTA if you can just actually steal a car and pay for sex?"

There is a huge difference. the purpose of Wii-Fit is to what, get exercise? Ya, you can do that without Wii-Fit and get a better workout for free.

GTA/COD/GH are made for fun, and games allow the user to do things they wouldn’t, or couldn’t, do in real life.

Seriously, your argument was just stupid. And besides, Wii-fit was only created because the Wii is so popular, you make something like this for the PS3 or 360, it will barely sale. They are just using the Wii to sell their crap.

However, as Zucas, said, I could see potential is used for actual gaming, like a snow-boarding game.

I like the product, I just don’t like the concept. It could have gone to better use.

The Majority of main stream population who are not gamers think this is a great idea. My girlfriend loves the idea and she’s not a gamer.

The concept is to get exercise, yes. But some people wouldn’t normally do anything unless they had a nice interface telling them what to do, and making little tiny “games” to go along with it. Exercising is pretty boring, you should know that.

The purpose of the game is for fun. That’s what all games are made for. If people didn’t think it was fun, they wouldn’t get it. And anything you do in a normal old chill and play game can be done in real life. Honestly, it’s not hard to learn how to play a guitar.

I think Wii Fit is a dumb idea, but don’t try to say that just because people can go out and get real exercise is the reason it’s dumb. Just look at the Madden series.

At least it will keep them from becoming morbidly obese, as opposed to using two analog sticks to play any type of sports game. So what if you think its stupid, don’t play it. If innovation is stupid then count me among the masses of the retarded, because I would rather play something that took some imagination to come up with than the same old run and gun, dual analog controlled drivel. Don’t get me wrong I like my 360 and I like the PS3, but as far as innovation goes they are severely lacking. If the wii had the HD power that everyone keeps bitching about it not having you would probably not be making remarks, or topics, that center around downing things that come to the wii. HD is not that important people and I will never buy any type of HD DVD format player be it made by sony or MS.
