I hadn’t seen my pet fish for about 4 days. I was looking for it at all angles of the fish tank and I couldn’t see him. I was hella confused, cause I was wondering how the hell can a fish dissapear like that?
Well, my fish tank was designed to that the water level goes way above the top of the visible glass area, because a lot of it is covered by the top part. I opened up the top of the fish tank hoping that some food could get him to come out from under the rock he’s hid under before, and I saw a dead moldy pale white fuzzy carcass floating right in front of my face. Not only was it startling and disgusting, but It unleashed this fowl smell of dead moldy fish in my room.
Sorry about the loss of the fish.. But oddly enough, something similar happened to me.
I had like.. 3 goldfish a couple years ago. They were doing fine for a while. I kept the tank clean and kept teh fishies fed. One week, I went to my friend’s house for the weekend and left the fish in my brother’s care. Well, I ended up staying away for like.. 6 days. When I came back.. BAM! Same thing. =(
