Yea its about time Nintendo starts taking the initative. But I new Tecmo was going to slowly start drifting towards Wii. Ever since Super Swing Golf, their cheap cash in, had about 400,000 shipped they’ve been in Wii love. NOt to mention its been very appeasing to them with the huge userbase of Wii in Japan. So I saw this coming from a mile away.

But yea Wii starting to get some big 3rd party franchises. First Monster Hunter now Fatal Frame, and of course I expect more to come whtehter old or new franchises.

Also something interesting to add to this, IGN speculates that Nintendo may have even bought the name, Fatal Frame, meaning that this will now be a Nintendo only franchise. Nintendo is really starting to come out of its shell if this is true.

I kinda liked super swing, for like the first 2 days then I got bored with it.
But, it is good news that nintendo is finally seeing the need to support good third party developers, as opposed to crappy third parties that only design rehashed old Sega Genesis games... Ghost Recon!

Did you read my previous post. I think that’s the most interesting thing out of all this.

Now maybe we will continue to get some good 3rd party games with M ratings that will keep the hardcore gamer as engaged as NMH has kept me. NMH has really broken down a lot of the walls for nintendo and potential devs looking at the wii saying “that looks like it could be fun... but, nintendo won’t let us make the type of game we want too... wait a minute, look at this game that Suda 51 came out with on the wii exclusively and look at how great it is! Maybe there is something to this system other than cutesy dance games and mingame shovelware; let’s make something for this thing and let’s make it good!" Hopefully this will not be the last of the good news for wii owners!smiley

Well not just good M rated 3rd party games, but just good ones in general. I mean No More Heroes is one of the best games I’ve played this gen, and yes it is the most creative game I’ve played this gen. Cause there is nothing like it before its time.

But kudos to Tecmo for finally saying hey our games can sell if we make a great game and finally Nintenod saying hey, if we put our name on the game and help market it’ll sell even better. These Mario and Sonic and Fatal Frame IV moves by Nintendo is a great start for really getting big 3rd party names out to the Nintendo public.

And of course its looking like that rumor will be true that Nintendo has bought the Fatal Frame name, making it a second party franchise.

It just keeps getting better! I’ve heard that Monster Hunter 3 will be using both of the processors in the wii, both the one for wii games and the one for GC games. Now that game should look great and maybe capcom will use the same engine that RE4 runs on, which I think someone said in this thread on the previous page... damn I’m so unoriginal.sad

It is awesome if you love the RE series. Its a must have then. If you like on rails shooters its good enough to pass a good amount of playtime. But in general if those don’t apply it was an average game.

I like the RE series and I like on rails shooters, but I like on rails shooters more if they have some type of multiplayer.

Hell, if monster lab is gonna have it and PKMNblushR had it then yes MH3 will have online for battles and trades to some degree or another... online that is.

It does have co-op, but no online. Co-op is actually really fun though.

Hey did y’all sign the petition for Bionic Commando for the wii? I’m thinking about starting a petition for nintendo to shorten their FC for upcoming games.
