There been families who abandon their own child due to there sexual orientation b/c they were brought up thinking homosexually is wrong. Theres been Christian family who don’t let there child watch Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, DBZ, and Harry Potter b/c its “witchcraft " and “devil worship”.
This part I to disagree with. The only people who have the right to tell you how to run your life are your parents when you are still a child. Its there job to tell you whats right and wrong in life. And once you become an adult it is your choice to decide if you going to follow it or not.
People can’t do w/e they want cause there are laws which keep things in order. And there is a difference between the laws which tells us what to do and the bible which tells you how to live your life. If you break the law you go to jail but if you break a testament or w/e you called them what happens? Nothing you still living your life with no worries. And in laws they do not forbid one to be gay but the bible does.
Also theres nothing wrong with people needing guidance but its something else to tell them what path to take and what beliefs they should follow.

I think you mean do not not didnot. Anyway not following the bible doesn’t make you atheist it just shows people have a different view of living than what the bible saids. And to answer your question I’m 50/50 but that does not make me a evil person. The other reason why people shouldn’t listen to the bible is because people can interpret the bible so in many different ways which can kill someone.

yeah, but i dont consider most “christians” today true christians.
they dont know christ. he was a nice guy, never turned down people. im not sure if that was him in the bible who said love ur children. meh, but he set the standard for kindness, love, compassion, etc.
its a shame a lot of “christians” dont see that.
parents should tell theyre kids more about life and how to live. but the trouble is most parents today just arent good examples. divorce rates are up, heck just look at society. society is very very much affected by family.
laws yes we do have laws to keep order. but consciousness is much more effective than laws. there are no laws out there telling people to do good. actually i think it isnt really laws that keep order in society, its punishment that does.
about ur last paragraph, i dont really understand. guides are supposed tell people what path to follow.

She is 50 years old and she has 2 jobs, has to clean and cook for us. If thats not a good example of how to work hard and stuff like that I don’t know what is then.
Well punishment is part of the law and thats why its more effective than a book that been written so long ago which knows nothing about how I live, by a guy who thinks he was the son of god and which it was rewritten so many times that the original writing has been lost.
I’m saying guides are suppose inform you not tell you what path to take. A guidance counselor doesn’t tell you what college you should go to they inform you on what classes they have to offer so you can see which interest you.

Okay... give me ONE good reason, why in the hell you would trust a book full of contradictions, absurdities, intolerance, injustice, cruelty and violence and written in the stupid times where people thought the Earth was flat... than modern science which is actually accurate and uses evidence.
The only reason I can think of is because your dogmatic. If you are willing to say something like, “oh this science contradicts the bible... therefore science is wrong”. Give me one good reason why you think the bible is to be trusted over science. Give me one good reason why you choose to remain ignorant of evidence that contradicts your bible.
