For the record, Catholiscism has not really prayed to statues or saints in a while. I was never told to, in any of the catholic churches Ive been to. Very minor practice differences.

the catholics took a part of the bible where jesus said that he would build the church on one of his deciples as meaning that the church needs a human leader, and thus the pope came about. from there, all the differences are from the pope. the pope’s word is treated like scripture, so obviously things get changed around a bit.

I’m just talking about the Jewish,Hebrew, and Christian God. It’s technically the same god. But like Hindus, they have different gods.

You can’t instantly choose whether or not you believe in god, or whether you believe that special someone is “the one” and so on. If you made this topic to tell us to try and disprove god, then you are using the argument from ignorance. If you made this topic because you want to stop believing in god, then you have to do it yourself by observing the world around you and all the evidence from both sides until your mind comes to a conclusion of belief or disbelief, which takes a while BTW.
