The most overrated rapper ever is Nas
the most overrated rapper right now is either
The Game or T.I.
oh goddamn john, do we have to go thru this argument again?
nas deserves all the credit he gets. if anyone is overrated, that would be weezy. the game is not overrated, neither is T.I. they both get what they earn. weezy, on the other hand......pffffft.
would weezy ever have the balls to diss nas and battle him? i dont think so. 50 dissed nas and lost credibility. jay-z dissed nas and got murked.

Nas is top 5 all time..weezy is possibly top 100 on a good day
thank you vin.
john, honestly, can you name all the rappers you listen to? if youre like me and have listened to a shitload of rappers, then you would know that nas is above a lot of these rappers including lil weezy
weezy would be more like top 100 if hip hop were dead, and the only surviving music genres were opera and metal.
heres another logical mathematical reasoning that proves that nas is better than weezy
several months ago, weezy performed at jay-z’s concert, rapping “hello brooklyn." at the end of the concert, he said that jay-z was the best rapper alive and he was the “second best rapper alive." Therefore,
Jay-Z > Lil Wayne
Before the beef between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, many of you know that Jay-Z had beef with Nas. Jay-Z created a track known as “Takeover”, sampled Nas’s “Got Yourself A Gun," and dissed Nas. Nas responded with the hit “Ether” on Stillmatic. A vote was taken by Hot 97 to see which song was better. Nas won 58% to 42%. At a concert, hip hop legend Jam Master Jay declared that Nas was one of few who was bringing hip hop back. Therefore,

If we calculate this correctly,
Nas > Jay-Z > Lil Wayne
Therefore,
Nas > Lil Wayne
flawed logic there one The Takeover wasn’t the song they compared to Ether The Takeover was on the Blueprint then Nas came out with Ether then Jay Z made the song Super Ugly which was the one they compared to Ether not The Takeover and even so one song doesn’t make somebody better than somebody else

if you look closely at my first statement, i said jay-z made takeover....then sampled nas’s song got yourself a gun, which is jay-z’s Supa Ugly. doesnt matter which song they put against nas because nas is still better. and one song does say a lot about an artist. if youre considered a legend, you need to spit hot tracks every single time. if you think jay-z is the best alive, then he should be spitting hot ass tracks every single time, but he isn’t.
on the other hand, nas has earned critical acclaim and a lot of influence. in his song “the last real nigga alive," he mentions the story about how bad boys copped his style and how raekwon took his style too. lupe fiasco credits “it was written” as the album that made him love hip hop. the game noted in an interview that it was stupid of 50 cent to beef with nas in the first place when nas can “lyrically assassinate him on all levels." monie love, who interviewed young jeezy, had a heated argument with him about why hip hop was dead. jay-z is not bad at all, but he re-uses a lot of lyrics....and i can even point some of the songs where he reuses lyrics. lil wayne shouldnt even be called into question as the best rapper alive. he is nowhere a legend and will never be one. period. nas had the balls to beef w biggie, pac, and jay-z. i cant believe these wack ass n*ggas like young jeezy, 50 cent, and lil wayne are tryna claim theyre better than him. if you realized at all, lil wayne has not dropped a hit album (not a mixtape...if you mention da drought...that’s a mixtape, not an album)...the carter only had one or two hits. and the carter II only had a few hits. nas, however, has had a lotta hits on illmatic, it was written, god’s son, stillmatic, nastradamus, i am, and street’s disciple. all have earned critical acclaim. almost all or all have gone to receive awards. this coming album, Nigga, will once again not disappoint and bring back hip hop. nas has been in the game way longer than lil wayne and deserves all the credit he gets for bringing back East coast hip hop, along with biggie and several others. nas did not reconcile his differences with jigga, jigga reconciled his differences with nas and was the one who signed nas to roc a fella. jay-z is undoubtedly the most successful rapper to date besides tupac, but that doesn’t mean he is the best rapper.
the only rappers on lil wayne’s level are the rappers today besides lupe fiasco and several others.
see? i actually provide a valid argument for nas and yet, you have not provided a legit argument for lil wayne. all you say is that lil wayne is just better than nas with no argument. mtv.com did name lil wayne as the hottest rapper to date, but then put in an article explaining why nas was not on the list.....it was because nas was above that level. period.
