I think, as Cid mentioned to me through MSN, that we should try and formulate some sort of area all the mods may meet. Not through MSN though, but a forum-like place we could post our messages and thoughts on matters such as this. (and in the future, even for minor things, such as what to do with a certain perpetrator. I know that bjarne had planned something earlier, but it was never completed)
I think that this would be ideal and has been tried in various incarnation before with little or no success.
It was mainly a failure due to a lack of dedication form the modding team to maintain contact and continue using the system.
I also think it is time for one or two moderators to be retired if they do not behave in a manner more befitting of their position.
As controversial as it may seem, one mod exiling another mod...I do think it is a necessary evil to restore order to this forum.

That should not be needed. Any issues with the current moderating team should be taken directly to Bjarne, including conduct from those moderators.

I’ve been suggesting that very idea since before I became a moderator.

Unless the moderating team as a whole agrees to step up it won’t get far, I’m afraid.

No offense intended for the big man himself, and please excuse my bluntness...but he can be a bit of a soft cock when it comes to ridding members from his moderating team.
he lives by the give em another chance philosophy and I think the only reason Kev was renounced was due to my reason of him being a security breach to the site...not because of his conduct.

I agree, but without a direct order from Bjarne things could get hairy. It’d be best to let Bjarne handle it.

I’d like to add that I’m a practical living example of this. As incriminating as it may be, it’s a fact.

As it is now, we can leave the team as it is, but begin to change other things and see what we get with what we’ve got.

The Dog-Mod! This is unacceptable as far as I am concerned.
the times change and the rules are absolute, as you can see, when the rules are bent and broken for the simple pleasure of reminiscing by members and mods alike, chaos ensues and it leaves the newer members in disarray as to what is allowed and not allowed.

You have? Well, I was plenty sure I wasn’t the first to get the idea.
It’s still a good option though. I’m sure it would save you guys a lot of trouble.

exactly... mods are members first this is true, but when it comes to breaking the rules, they need to switch the mod mode nomatter who it is... favoritism shouldnt be acceptable, but some mods get away with it all the time, and as i said before, some of it is seniority aswell...

To be blunt, shush. things similar to this were tried, and once someone said that it flew in on it’s face. >.<

The best solution is going to be to step on some toes. I’ve no idea if I’m included in the aforementioned group as I have joked around with these types of things. But regardless of that, my input is to get all the mods in one location and bitch everybody out.
